Would you agree that Arizona being labled as Point Guard U is kinda misleading?
I know that Arizon University has produced, Damon Stoudamire, Gilbert Arenas, Jason Terry, Mike Bibby...these are all good players.but none of these guys are good point guards, guards who can actually dominate the passing game...these guys are shoot first guards...most of these guys average during there career around 5 to 6 assists a game...you may have an occasional break out with Stoudamire and Bibby whose career high assist average is around 8 per game...but still what gives in Arizona, .they don't let their point guards know to move the ball, set up teammates, help your teammates get good shots

point guard u is a college term. when you look at it within the context of college basketball, it makes sense. generally assist totals are low on the college level. they were all point guards at arizona..why not small forward U...andre iguodala

The only young pass first point guard in the recent years is Derran Williamw with Utah. Chris Paul and D-Wade look to score first even though they average quite a few assists. So the problem is that there isn't that many pass first point guards that made it to the NBA and the fact that Arizona produce the most point guards that made the NBA gave them the label as Point Guard UI agree that Arizona being called Point Guard U is misleading, becouse they have never produced a traditonal Jason Kidd type point guard

There aren't that many good point guards in the NBA now. Jason Kidd, Williams, Paul and Nash are about the only ones who don't have to rely heavily on their offensive game. Despite what a previous answer said, Chris Paul is NOT scoring first.
How can i get better at basketball?
Find another university with this many guards playing in the point guard position and getting drafted in the first round. It's doesn't matter if they are as fantastic as Nash, Kidd, or whoever. How could it be misleading that they had more point guards drafted in the first round than any other university. They may not be great point guards, but it's the drafting value. They all got drafted in the first round.You cannot complain about Bibby, Bibby turned the Kings into contenders, too bad he has fallen off his prime so early.

i dunno about the univesity...but arizona the state is the kingdom of the best point guard in the league (my apologies to jason kidd, though he used to be a Sun), Steve Nash.
