I think their only shot is moving Kwame and Bynum signing a backup center and KG. The only way they'll get KG away from Minnesota is trading Brown and Bynum. That's the only way they'll get anyone without losing Odom.

Bynum was the reason they didn't get J. Kidd. The laker brass has a hard on for the kid. I agree they need to get rid of Brown, but there are some other guys that could help the team. Rashard Lewis will be a free agent. KG would be an awesome fit but I don't know what it would cost to get him. The T-wolves might let him go for little cost only so they don't lose him with no compensation next year. I can only hope.Will the 76ers get the 1st pick?

The Lakers need to sign another super star to play along side Kobe! Today's NBA and the future's NBA will not be nice to stricly post up players...might as well get rid of him when his stock is hella high for a do it all center/power forward and Tinsley would be a throw-in in the deal since he's not wanted in Indiana...things could change when he gets here..he was top 10 in assits for a couple of years before the brawl.

they need to get kobe to spread the ball and get his teammates involved. right now it is a one man team, one man team isn't going to you titles.The problem Kobe has now with the Lakers is similar to the problem Iverson had with the 76ers a little while back, there's no one you can trust. Granted after AI was traded Iguodala stepped up to become a big time factor, but unless that happens with Odom while Kobe is on the team, it's not gonna happen.
In my opinion, Lakers need someone else that can create offense, while Odom is good, he doesn't make plays. So you need someone to go to more consistently than say Luke Walton, Smush Parker, or Kwame Brown. Bynum is good, but he's too young and inexperienced and will take some time to build into a solid big man, in the meanwhile, if they can make a move for a bigger inside prescence, in which case trading Bynum might be a viable option. Otherwise, package some deal with Brown and Parker for a more explosive point guard, maybe Kidd, I wouldn't go Bynum for Kidd because Kidd's age is starting to get to him, Bynum's only going to get better in time. There's my 2 cents.

First of all, the Lakers need to re-sign Luke Walton to a multi year deal. He is unrestricted(which means he can sign with anyone).In order to get something you have to give something. To get the dominant big man they need, there needs to be someone else involved in this trade that has value: Odom and Bynum are the biggest pieces in this type of trade, and instead of trading Brown(still a big guy and can clog the middle) throw in M. Evans in a package... The only "REALISTIC" trade i can think of that will benefit the team is: Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum and Maurice Evans to Indiana for Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley!! The Lakers get the big man they need and a decent veteran point guard, and the Pacers get the young talent they need to "rebuild". All this talk of letting Smush go? he is a free agent(GONE). Trade Radman? Nobody other than dumbass Mitch Kupchick will take Vlad's contract.. so i think that trade will benefit the Lakers this offseason. My projected starting line-up:
