There is slight matchup problem is San Antonio's favor. Actually, I wouldn't consider Tim Duncan a "slight" problem.Amare Stoudmire CANNOT hold Tim Duncan. If they keep Stoudmire in, Duncan will score at will or attract the double or triple team leaving everyone else with open looks.
If they put Diaw or Burke on Duncan, they cannot run and will be forced to play perimeter basketball, and they don't want to do that against the Spurs, otherwise it will be a short series.
Either way, the Suns are in for a hell of a series. It will not be pretty for the newbies, but us true b-ball fans are gonna love this series.

The spurs all of the way. Duncan is just so good. Finals MVP his rookie year while leading the league in double doubles and being on the all defense team..just can't beat that.I call the spurs for the championship.

The Spurs will stop suns uptempo offense and it's not fun to watch.Well if you couldnt tell by my name the spurs are my team for sure but I would have to agree with the guy said spurs will take it in 5. The suns are no doubt an awesome team but I think that because of the experience that San Antonio has plus i think that since the spurs played a much better team in the Nuggets then the Suns played in the lakers i think that the spurs are pumped and ready for a challenge while phoenix just kinda blew off L.A and since they are more relaxed that will be their downfall.

This will be a great series.The Spurs will probably win in 6 or 7 games. Both teams are great top to bottom, but there is a clash of styles. Phoenix will run as much as they can, and try to drive up the score. Barbosa has been a nightmare for the Lakers, and I hope to see more of the same against the Spurs. I don't think he'll be quite as effective this series though, since he'll have to guard Parker or Ginobili
It will be interesting to see how the Suns defend the Spurs. Nash can't guard Parker or Ginobili very well, and he'll probably shift over to guarding Bowen a lot this series. But if the Spurs go with Finley at SF, Nash doesn't really have anyone he can guard.. If Stoudemire, Marion, and Diaw get in foul trouble trying to guard Duncan inside, then the Suns will struggle. But if they can stay out of foul trouble, the series could go either way.
I think the real x-factors are Finley and Horry. They can't bring it every night anymore, but they've proven they can come up with clutch shots. Brent Barry as well. If they can continue to come up big, there's no stopping the Spurs, who are my favorite to come out of the Western Conference.
The spurs were old two years ago when they almost swept the suns (phx made push to win game 4 only to be eliminated in game 5 but were dominated entire series).
I think the spurs will definetly be able to slow them down slow down the tempo of the game and their defense will take over.
However this suns team is better than the one that played them two years ago so we'll see.

First I need to say I'm a major Phx fan, (I my self am a Phoenix native). However this series scares me more than anything. Phoenix went 1 out of 3 against SA during the season. It's going to be a major upset if SA wins. Imagine SA and GS in western finals who would have predicted that?!?Like everyone has said the clash in styles strong defense vs strong offense and I agree. However I don't see this being a 5 game series like everyone says. I see this going 6 or all 7. All of the phoenix team is healthy, and they just took apart LA. They'll be hungry for more on Sunday. Well, I am really hoping that the suns can win it. I really hate the way san antonio plays, they slow down the game and makes it very boring. Fast break is much more exciting.More Questions & Answers...
