Does anyone not from San Antonio like the Spurs?
I can not stand watching this team. It is complaint after complaint. They whine about every single foul called on them. Tim Duncan threw a fit to the ref when he got his first foul in 2 games! That would be Nene's dream to not have a foul for 2 games What is more annoying is the refs put up with this team. If I were the Ref I would have been passing technical fouls out like they were candy. I hope the Suns murder this team in the second round.

Well whether you like them or not they are probably the best in the league. They are basically as good as the very best but Horry and Finley on the bench just push them over the top.I'm with you though, I will be rooting for the Suns. But the suns run into a brick wall with San Antonio most of the time.

Let me say this, the refs seem to be on a vendeta much like they went on the lockdown in 04 when nearly ALL wore their shirt turned inside out and had #62 on their jersey(the number for a disciplined official.) Some may agrree that the Spurs do whine but it no different when you watch more than just your favorite team play. Its just that the Spurs are Right more of the time. I'm from Philly, live in the surrounding suburbs, love the Eagles, Flyers, and Wings. But when it comes to the Sixers (and Phillies), I can't stand them. They always get the worst players, manage the team into a corner despite strong financial backing, have a great fan base in a basketball city, and keep making uniform changes that get uglier and uglier.That's why I appreciate and support a team like the Spurs. Consistent winners, small city with a great fan base, ownership that manages the team intelligently, and a championship here and there.
As for baseball, I support the team that should have stayed in Philly - the Athletics.

Did you actually check the box scores from their series? The Nuggets got a lot of calls, while TD was getting mugged in the middle.If you want to talk about whining, watch the current game on TV. The court and bench are loaded with them.
I live in So Cal surrounded by Laker fans and I love the Spurs! They have great management and they play great team ball! I think people today are so ADD that they need a frenetic pace to every sport they watch, they can't watch and appreciate a half court set or good defense.
Did any of you consider this, maybe if people had more opportunities to watch the Spurs they would have more attention? The Mavs are pretty exciting, but they even got bumped off ABC for the Lakers and the Heat (Please, we all know how well both of those teams performed this year).
It is just my opinion, but I think maybe if they had more tattoos and beat their chests after every win, then people like you would actually like them. That seems to be the trend with the modern NBA fan.
Last thing before I get off my soap box, the guys that play for the Spurs are really good people, that not only perform for the fans, but give back by doing some great thing for their community.

I don't know if you watch much b-ball but the spurs are definetely not the only team that whines and complains about foul calls.The suns are not going to murder them; they're not going to be playing a one man team wwith no defense.
They are a great defensive team that continue to contend year after year.
