i heard that if you drink caffine before a basketball game, you will play with a ton of intensity. and add to adreanaline. Would you reccomend this, what are your thoughts

In sports, it is necessary to get electrolytes in your system and sugar. This is found in common sports drinks like gatorade or powerade. It is also important to stay hydrated, but not too much to get cramped.Also, you may get that "quick intensity" for a while, but then soon after it will start to wear off, and without anymore you will slide off and be fatigued easily. Basketball is endurance, you can't just get a quick burst to win the game, you have to last it the entire way - on the bench and on the court.

hahahaha, no. Thats about the worst thing you can do. Caffine gets you hyper but wears off quick and will make you EXTREMLY tired during the game, as well as giving you less focus. This is a BAD ideaDrink an energy drink or a sports drink, they give you more energy.

I'm all for this idea. I did it myself back in high school. Darrell Armstrong from the Magic used to do this too (coffee and chocolate) and he was always a quick, intense player.Millions of people consume caffeine in the morning to wake up, so why not use it to 'wake up' for a basketball game?
But don't overdo it...your hands might get shaky and and you'll lose concentration. Maybe 1 cup of coffee or a chocolate bar.

NO That really throws off your game because it makes you so hyper then it takes all of your energy away from you.It will depend what kind of person you are . If you will still be calm enough to do all the plays and still not get tired after the caffine wears off you might as well get some but if you will get all jumpy and forget all the plays you might as well forget about this because you might not just be a useless guy on the court but you'll also be extremly tired.

Do not try that. It is horrible for you. The only reason that you have more adreanaline is because caffine contains sugar and sugar makes you blood get hotter and so then you can move faster. Do not do this. Caffine can affect your body in a very big way. If you drink anything with acid in it and also containing the caffine (soda) the two minerals can retract and you can easily pop a blood vessel which can eventually lead to a heart attack.DO NOT TRY THIS!!
