Yeah these so called experts have their heads so far up Jordan's *** they are really starting to become useless. Evryone knows that Vince, Nique and Doc are the top three and even Larry Nance was better. It is like Wade not getting to many votes in the MVP balloting it is a popularity contest. Voted on by mostly media and we know who dominates that BS. Your order is correct. And for anyone who does not have Nique in the top 3 show that people are choosing with the heart. Watch the tapes, Jordan does not even come close to having the dunks Nique , Vince , Doc , or even JR in golden state. If you people are really into this, remember when the dunk contest was in CHi. and jordan missed a dunk and Nique did not meiis a dunk and only got 41 for a two hand windmill from the dotted line we knew then the fix was in. It's a tough one and I also saw the show. I would say MJ is definitely top 5. I was disappointed with how high on the list they had Clyde Drexler. Also, Kobe should have been higher on the list. I would probably have to agree with your list. I grew up in Chicago when Jordan was in his prime so I am a little bit biased. I also really like Shawn Kemp.What is mugsy bouges real first name?

1. Julius Erving. The original and never to be beaten as yet. People have figured out most of his dunks now, but he's still in a class by himself. He invented the art and pushed the envelope in the ABA, then everything you saw others doing in contests were dunks he did in the course of a game, with nine other players in the way. In the end, he's always been the most creative, able to leap higher than anyone else and control the ball in one enormous hand.2. Dominique Wilkins. Similar to Julius, just down a notch. Also out of control too much of the time compared to Julius. But some extraordinarily spectacular dunks. You knew where the influence came from.
3. Vince Carter or Michael Jordan. Call it a tie. Vince comes closer to jumping as high a Julius, but does not have the hand size or the creativity of either Julius or 'Nique. But I do like his dunks, which like Julius' come either off one leg or two, with equal ease. Michael is a two legged jumper and looks like he's straining to make many of his dunks. Never saw the others strain like that.
After that, well, I think it's very difficult for a tall player to look spectacular, because thay are already up in the air, unless you get a KG baseline that looks like it's coming down from the top of the backborad. Short players struggle to show the "ease" when they have to rise as much as they do to throw down and not show the strain. When it comes for show and tell in a contest, I think the ideal height is 6'4" -6'9".

carter is amazing and electrifying i would say he is the best if not, then spud webb FTW.at 5'7" and to be able to do all those crazy dunks, cant beat that. now if only mugsy bogues can dunk.
