Michael Jordan is so not a ball-hog just because he accomplished those things doesnt mean anything except that he is a great player. i watched the games he played in. he always passed the ball to anyone that was open and to the people who he sees. unlike Kobe who hogs the ball even though he sees people, he still wont pass it. just to let ya'll kno i am NOT a Kobe hater, i like the ths guy, he is very good. i was saying that Micheal Jordan, doesnt ball-hog. but Kobe does. so NO Michael Jordan is not a ball-hog.Can u believe the crowd in the golden state Dallas game?

Yes 'jd, he was. As a matter of fact, he was the biggest ball-hog in history.In his 15 season he:
Led the entire league in field goal attempts 9 TIMES
Was in the Top Ten in FG attempts 3 TIMES
Was in the Top 20 in FG attempts once, despite playing only 60 games
The only two years he wasn't among the leaders was because he was injured or came out of retirement and only played 18 and 17 games.
He was the Bulls leader in assists SOLELY based on the fact that he played more games as a Bull than anyone else. Don't think for one moment that Jordan got those assists from setting up teammates or finding the open man. He only cared about his own shots.
Look at 1989, the year Coach Doug Collins tried to put Jordan at point guard. He figured that since Jordan was such a good penetrator, he'd be able to drive the lane and pass to the open man. The only problem was that Jordan didn't like to pass. Most of his assists came from when he was double or triple teamed and had NO CHOICE but to pass.
So Jordan fought off any attempt to make him pass. His selfishness almost cost the Bulls a playoff spot. Thanks to a late season surge, they finished with the 6th seed. Jordan went whining to management, and Collins was fired after the season, thanks to Jordan's selfishness.
His teammates have even said Jordan played for his stats. That's why, when he retired, they hardly missed a beat without him, dropping only two games. The Bulls triangle offense flowed better without selfish Michael Jordan.

What did Mikey do in the 80's, against better competition? Ball-hogged the Bulls to early playoff exits. It's a shame because he probably would have been a great point guard too. I agree, he DID do more good than bad.

yes he was a ballhog. but most people will just see him as a 'scorer'.it wasnt until 1991, 7 years into his career, that he finally TRUSTED his teammates. this in turn rewarded him with his first championship.
and as much as anyone may argue, it wasnt until that season that he started 'making his teammates better'. (pippen was good before then...but he still was famous for his migraine during the 1990 playoffs).
