Who do you think will be the MVP of the NBA?
It has become very interesting because the arguement can be made that Dirk Nowitzki was the best player in the regular season and has played poorly in the playoffs. So, does he still deserve to win?

Could the Rockets be the best team in basketball?
Some people say that Dirk was the best player but to me it seems like Kobe Bryant was by far the best player in the regular season. Four fifty point games in a row? The last guy who did that had twenty three on his jersey. Scoring title? All defensive team? No contest. There hasn't been a more complete package since MJ with the exception of maybeIverson, but even Alan hasn't put up the ballistic numbers Kobe is right now. This question brings up a good point- what exactly is the MVP? Does it mean Most Valuable Player or Most Valuable Player With a Good Enough Team To Have a Strong Shot at the Finals (MVPWGETTHSSF)? If it actually means MVP then there is no doubt that the guy who gets 32.5 points a game and makes the all defensive team is the one.
What Chill said above is true. Shaq deserved it two years in a row if not more. The whole thing is totally corrupt. MVP should mean MVP, not best story, best underdog, best media face or anything else. Shaq is a boring player but let's face it, nobody could stop him for years. I say, if he was the most dominant player in the league year after year, just be honest and give him the damn prize whether or not people think its entertaining (I mean back then, not now, I'm making a point about the whole system).
What happened to Bob Costas in announcing NBA games?
Well, it should be Kobe Bryant for the second year in a row (he was robbed last year too) as he's the best player and most complete player in the NBA. And the Lakers wouldn't have 25 wins without him either the past 2 years. However, these voters always want to see these David beats Goliath stories. And that's why Steve Nash will win it again or maybe even Dirk Nowitzki.
Same reason why Shaquille O'Neal was robbed of 2 MVP's in the past.
Wat are some great individual basketball drills to improve my game?
Well, from the way he's playin now, it sholdnt be Dirk, but its obviously gana be Dirk.it should either be kobe or nash but dirk will get it
Will kobe have to take over to keep the lakers in the running against the suns//?
i know that your not supposed to go by the playoffs but since you asked today ill tell you who i wouldnt pick and that is dirk the warriors are just making him look foolish oout there. It would have to be either nash or kobe. the question of an MVP most valuable player, take that person away from his team and how do they do without him. if that is the definition of an MVP then the answer is kobe bryant for sure.Which NBA team has the best cheerleaders?
"these David beats Galilagh stories." That gave me a good laugh. Looks like you just typed random letters until the word looked long enough. Good stuff. Anyway, this poor performance thus far by Dirk has definitely hurt his status as an MVP candidate in my eyes. Only problem is that most of the real voters have most likely cast their vote already. That gives Dirk a good chance of getting it for being the star on the best team all season. If I had a vote that considers the weak playoff performance of Dirk
:
Kobe had the most memorable season, with some of those sick point outbursts he put up. Also, the Lakers stink without him. You can say the same about Steve Nash. My vote would come down between those 2. I think Kobe is slightly more valuable to his team because the rest of his team are basically backup-type players. Nash has a couple other all stars on his team. Slight edge to Kobe.
Nash
t-mac t-mac t-mac alot of people dont see the numbers he's putting up. I mean he's playing like a point guard out there 30 points 10 assists!! But like everyone said it'll probaaly be dirk or nash. But i wouldn't be surprise if kobe gets it though
What does mavs season look like next year?
People, the vote is completed PRIOR to the start of the playoffs.Dirk's crappy performance against Golden State has nothing to do with the regular season MVP award...the votes are submitted before the playoffs start.
Based on the regular season, Dirk is as good a candidate as anyone.
Would you agree that Arizona being labled as Point Guard U is kinda misleading?
i HOPE its Steve Nash but it probably won't be.Nash:18.6pts 11.6asts 89.9%ft 45.5%3pt 53.2%fg
each assist contributes to AT LEAST 2pts
Steve Nash is involed for 41.8+pts each game
Dirk:Is the best player on the best team
24.6pts 3.4asts 8.9rebs 90.4%ft 41.6%3pt 50.2%fg
Kobe:His team BARELY makes the playoffs
31.2pts 5.4asts 5.2rebs 86.9%ft 34.4%3pt 46.3%fg
again each assist contributes to AT LEAST 2pts
Kobe is involed for 42.4pts a game.
That is less than 1pt more than Nash
Also Steve is more efficient than Kobe, and is involed in more pts than dirk. the only stat Steve isn't good in is rebounds.
that is why Steve Nash should win
I saw a movie about this guy nicknamed the GOAT...Anyone know any history on this guy?
From the reg. season I'd say Dirk but my opinion has changed over this series with GS. I honestly don't know who will win.maybe they should make them each Co-MVP like they've done before with R.O.Y a couple times. Kobe Bryant is obviously the best player in the NBA and I think that with a ton of work IN A FEW YEARS, the Lakers can be a better team without Kobe Bryant lol let me explain. I'd say without him this year, they'd have gone maybe 30-52. Think about it if Kobe leaves, who's going to take over in crunch time and create plays and score for them when they need it? Kobe's they're security blank much like LeBron was to the Cavs until recently (the Cavs are like 3-0 or 4-0 without him this season) even though I believe LeBron has more talent around him to work with. What i'm saying is if you take away Kobe, the Lakers would be forced to get better and come together but I don't see Kobe going anywhere until he retires or maybe if Phil Jackson leavesWho hit more game winning shots between micheal jordan and kobe bryant?
