Could Alex Ramos have beaten Thomas Hearns in a 15 rounder at 160?
Answers:
No. Hearns would have nothing keeping him off Ramos. Ramos had little power.
What chances do you think ...?
The only guy Hearns could not whip was Hagler an he gave it a good shot. Tommy Hearns was one of the best pound for pound fighters everWho will gonna win on rematch this coming November in Las Vegas, Manny Pacquiao or Eric Morales?
I don't know what happened to Alex Ramos. He was a good fighter then got beaten.I think Tommy would have either decisioned him or knocked him out by virtue of the fact that he beat Shuler decisively by knock out. I am sure he would have handily beaten Alex Ramos.
Does anyone know why George Foreman does not do the PPV coverage on PPV anymore ?
Thomas Hearns made a career out of beating Latino fighters. Still Hearns was no where near the puncher at 160 that he was a 147 and Ramos had a solid chin. This one would have gone the distance if "Hearns" could have lasted. It is interesting in that Ramos would be the more dangerous fighter later in the fight. Still I think Hearns would have out boxed Ramos, and pulled out a close decision in a distance fight But I can't help remembering Barkley and the trouble he gave Hearns. Ramos was at least as good as Barkley. You have to wonder if Hearns would have the legs at 160 to last. Tough call.Hearns by split decision.
