Larry said that the ring should be smaller and the gloves should be like UFC gloves. I always wanted to someday own my own boxing club and train young youths off the streets because of the background I come from. the only hope is in MMA now i think i have to let boxing go. Ive always been fans of technical fighters so now i feel if your a bigger opponent YOU WON before you even walk in to the ring because if you dont sit back and let him knock you out but back him up the hole night YOU WON. they want smaller rings and smaller gloves to help the slower yet bigger opponents to catch you. BOXING IS DEAD! IF THEY WANT TO CHANGE THE TRADITION AND TAKE OUT TECHNIQUE THEN THEY SHOULD JUST CANCEL BOXING AND FOCUS STRICTLY ON MMA INSTEAD OF MAKING THE SPORT LOOK BAD!

First of all MMA sucks. Boxing is and always will be, the king of sports and the sport of kings. I suggest you stay with your dream and before you make any rash decisions, educate yourself. As proven by the 2.15M PPV buys of DLH-Mayweather, boxing is far from dead. We have guys like Cristian Mijares, Rafael and Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquaio, Edwin Valero, Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Joe Calzaghe, lots of potential in the heavyweight division no matter what anyone says (the problem there is no dominant heavyweight). We have lots of superfights to be made yet and I think what we are lacking is a true promoter who can make the best fights happen. Golden Boy Promotions is not that group. They are in it to build their stable. Don King and Bob Arum are in their twilight years and can't put together supercards anymore. Someone has to step up and make it happen. 3-4 very good fights with name fighters and champions on a PPV is what should be happening and it isnt. But the potential is there. There is a school, some kind of fight promoters university, and hopefully out of this school will come the person who can bring boxing back to where it should and could be. Hang in there, you have the right sport. Seriously, MMA is too barbaric and not really on par with boxing.You know if i had a lower IQ i would answer this question

Yeah I agree with you. I enjoy a good brawl don't get me wrong as Arturo Ghatti and Marco Antonio Barrera are a couple of my favorites but there has to diversity and intelligence as well. Not every fight is going to be a fight of the year candidate or slugfest. The Jermaine Taylor and Cory Spinks fight was boring but not because of Spinks. He stuck to a game plan, he didn't do enough to win but for him to attack a bigger man is just stupid. Taylor should have tried to cut off the ring and land some body punches to slow Spinks down. Roy Jones was an excellent tactical fighter as well as Mayweather and several others but not all their fights are boring.
