Is Briggs on the sauce?

Question:Don't get me wrong, I think what he did and how he did it against Liakhovich was impressive, but it occured to me that against Lewis, eight and a half years ago, he weighed 228.
Saturday he weighed 268. That's a gain of 40 pounds of solid muscle in just over eight years.
Anyone that saw the fight could see the physical condition he was in - lean, cut, muscular - with very little body fat.

I hope he doesn't become the third guy who wins a heavyweight belt that gets stripped for steroid use.

In boxing is it possible to charge down a punch?

Brad ~
You have taken the words right out of mouth, he's got muscles on top of muscles. He was always one of the bigger Heavyweights, but anyone that has been around sports knows that you can only do so much naturally, you can only get so big, well Briggs is well past that point. I've been around athletes all my life and anyone with any type of common sense can tell when someone is juicing or not.
It's not a matter of "If" he will be stripped of his "Title" it's when. Anabolic steroids have no business in sports period, professional or amateur. Could you imagine if Sugar Ray Robinson was on HGH or any other performance enhancing drug?

Why is it that so many people think Aaron Pryor would've taken Sugar Ray at 147?

that guy is a dam monster. i bet he's Juicin' alright. he looked huge compared to Liakhovich.

Who is Britains best prospect out of the following 3 - Amir Khan, Andy Murray or Lewis Hamilton?

It is quite possible and unfortunately highly probable. There is only so much muscle you can put on by using weights and doing the traditional gym/floor work a fighter does.

James Toney?

that does seem a little too good to be true. i hope not. just what we need. more ammo for the screamers who want to kill our sport
