Mike Tyson: Where does he fit in the history of boxing?
I know! Most hate him and many dismiss him but where does Mike fit in the overall history of great boxers?
Answers:
Who is the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time?
Tyson was a brawler. His place in history is guranteed based on his outstaning record.. the astrisk on him is that `) He ha no technique. He was a street fighter who would kick *** in the ring, but at the same time was notorius for not preparing for fights and for his out of the ring behavoirs. IN the end I think he'll be viewed in a pretty negative light. He won't have the respect of Ali or Foreman, he's going to be rememberd, at best as a troubled guy who won a lot of fights, at worst as a idiot with an anger problem. What is the Las Vegas boxing event dress code?
i just know hes known for biting holifield and beein a ferocious fighter. not fun to watch cos he ends fights in 2 seconds, unlike ali who was a great showman.Who was the only boxer to beat Mohammad Ali?
he would be in the biters wing of the hall of fameWhere can I find a youth boxing gym in Chicago,Illinois?
Definitely one of the most devastating punchers - even if it were for a split second of time in the late 80's.Other than that, he goes down in history as a prime example of what is wrong with sports and the world in general.
I hope his *** rots in jail.
Where can I buy a "mexico loves mayweather" t-shirt?
I'd rate him like the one hit wonders of the 60's. The bands that came out with a hit or maybe an album and exploded on to the scene and made a whole career out it. The bands that you can still see today playing at county fairs and colleges playing the exact same songs of the 60's. Still great songs but no progression and no triumph over adversity. The Beatles changed with the times and actually changed the direction of music entirely but other bands were unable so they just kept on playing the same stuff or covering other people's hits of that era. Tyson now tours around giving 4 round exhibitions -- living off his 1st round knockouts of the 80's. Was he good? The best at what he did then but he could have been so much better.
Who is gonna win A.delahoya or B.maywether C.undecided?
He doesn't. He'll never be considered one of the greats.Mike will be known for one of the best in recent memory, but will never be one of the all-time greats. Maybe if he had kept his head on straight he would have. Once he lost to Buster Douglas he became mortal. Before that he was impressive to say the least. I think he ranks up there with Sonny Liston. Like Liston though, Ali would have taken Tyson on his worst day.
It's a shame that this man had poor mental health. He was probably the most dominant, powerful, and intimidating boxer I ever saw while in his prime. Who knows how much more he would have achieved had he not lost his mind. I would still rank him in the Top 10. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he the youngest boxer (19) to be a world heavyweight champion?
How can I get an autographed photograph from Jim Lampley?
He simply will not fit in. Review these facts.* Tyson was dominate in his early years, but rarely fought top ten talent and beat Berbick for the belt who was not that good to begin with. His camp feed him nothing but tomato cans to fight,
** Tony Tubbs a decent boxer was not intimidated and tyson looked average in a 12 rd decesion.
** During tysons 37-0 streak, his biggest challengers were
Razor Rudduck only a tad above average
Larry Holmes around 40 when he fought tyson
Michael Spinks, not even a real heavyweight.
Buster Douglas beat the hell out of him and exposed him for what he was. a inside fighter who was not very conditioned and average at best after the fifth round. Tyson could not deal with a big man with a jab,
** Tyson ducked Riddick Bowe when Bowe was in his prime for this very reason.
** Tysons chance to establish himself came againt Holyfield and Lewis. Tyson went 0-3 against both if you count the DQ as a loss. I do.
Holyfield on the other hand fought the following Qwai- a war
Bowe 3 times and every time was a bloodbath
Foreman who was an animal at 42
Lewis twice and looked good the second fight.
Michael Moorer who was decent
Tyson knocked him out
Holyfield lost many but looked great in defeat and pulled off big wins. Tyson, Is a huge draw and is interesting, But had glaring weaknesses and never was great to begin with just an animal with power and a great chin. Could not deal with a jab and did not improve as a fighter at all only regressed.
well he is the most talked about fighter ever, and the baddest man on the planet at one time, youngest heavyweight champion ever....pretty damn high!!!!!
Does anyone no about boxing leagues and how to join one?
Blogbaba is one of the many who dismiss Mike. I don't even rate Tyson in the top 25 best heavyweights of all time. He was the youngest, but other than that, he's nothing special. As strange as it seems the only emotion I feel for Mike is pity, not something one usually associates with former heavyweight champs. I have to struggle to find something positive to say about the guy.Did Jack Dempsey ever kill man boxing or just in life in general.?

Bernard Hopkins vs. James Toney who wins?
His knock out power fits a little better than Liston but below Louis, Marciano, and Foreman. He is not in my top 20 best heavyweights. His overall standing as a heavyweight looking at his whole career does not compare favorably to the other great heavyweights. He is low on the list if you consider the heart of a heavyweight, low on the list of how he fought after he was hurt, low on list of having a good chin. His mind is obviously not all there and that wasn't due to any punches he took. His only attribute was that punch he had which was better than average. How many wieght classes and what is the wieght for each class in professional boxing?
top 3 easilyWho has the best and worst nickname in boxing??
Well, in the history books he is the youngest heavyweight boxer to win a world title. I think he will be up there with some great names in the end because he was so dominant in the beginning of his career. But in the end most people are gonna look back and remember him for all the bad stuff he did, more than his accomplishments in the ring. Its a shame to, cause if he kept his life clean he would have been the best ever.More Questions & Answers...
