I know styles make fights, is there a fighter in any era who would have beat Ali consistantly?

Videos of bad vs good techniques, bag work?

Ric it seems like pressure fighters that used a crouch like Frazier and Norton gave him the most trouble as both beat Ali once each and almost beat him the other times with each fight being close and very competitive which is well known. That style always gave Ali the most trouble while he always seemed to know how to beat big strong lumbering heavyweights like Liston and Foreman. Ali was so talented it's hard to imagine anyone beating him all the time.

Why do people still watch boxing when the true bad asses are in mma?

absolutly not, even if the boxer was good enough to beat him the first time, ali would have adapted and beat him the rest of the times (e.g. fraizer) the reason that ali is considered the greatest is because he was so much smarter than the people that were stronger than him

Yes or no...?

I think it is fun, but not accurate to compare any athletes from different eras. Joe Louis in his prime was the best fighter for years. Ali was probably the best, in his prime, that I have seen. What he did that Patterson, and most other fighters did not, was Ali fought all of the contenders. He fought people that everyone else had avoided. He gave them a chance to fight for the championship. If he had fought Cleveland Williams before Williams was shot he might have lost that fight. He did stay around too long, and won lots of decisions in fights he really lost.

Why did i fight tonight?

There was in his era - Ken Norton. Ali had more problems with his style than anyone else's.

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Pernell Whitaker. Who wins?

no, well..maybe tyson. i think if frazier got to him mike could.

Are there any good boxing matches to see in or near Atlanta?

If the blogbaba had to pick a fighter from another era to match up with Ali, and beat him consistently, it would have to be Jack Johnson. Johnson had the physical tools and speed to give Ali the most trouble, and Ali wouldn't have been able to psych out Johnson. No fighter in history was as mentally tough as Johnson, and Ali's bravado would have beaded off Johnson like water on a freshly waxed car. "Consistantly" is a tough criteria to honor, and KO percentage doesn't work with Ali because he KOed two of boxings heaviest hitters in Forman and LIston, not to mention a slew of others. Joe Louis counldn't have matched Ali's speed.

You almost half to go back that far to find someone who would have beaten Ali at all in his prime.

Does any one know where the De la hoya fight is showing in Greenville SC?

I think Frazier would have always given Ali trouble before the layoff included. Frazier was relentless he was not a quitter. Ali could never put Joe down inside the ring. There are no other fighters that consistently would trouble Ali before the layoff. Jack Johnson or maybe Harry Wills would have given him good fights like Frazier and Norton did in the years immediately after he got back.

What in your opinion, are the most contoversial decisions of all time?

No. I think Larry Holmes would have been the best competition using his superior jab to dictate pace and range. But Ali, from his fights with Liston until his forced exile, was unbeatable. Closest thing to perfect in any sport, any era.

Chad Dawson vs. Mikkel Kessler?

I dont think there has ever been a fighter that would have consistently beaten Ali. For that to happen with any fighter the fighter has to have a weakness that his opponent consistently exploits. Ali didnt have any of those weaknesses. He is the most complete heavyweight of all time. He could box at distance with a fantasic jab and great straight right. Once he got slightly inside his right and left hooks and crosses were devastating. Then he could also get right inside and effectively brawl or defend and then bang on the counter.
So you can see he had no real consistent weakness to be exploited consistently by an opponent and thats why none did in his career, Nor would any other fighter from any generation.

Are you allowed to wear sneakers or trainers in a boxing match?

Iron Mike Tyson in his prime would have knocked Cassius Clay out. Clay could not have handled the blows and such force coming at him at once.

Where in Raleigh/Chapel Hill/Greensboro can I watch the De La Hoya vs. Mayweather boxing match?

Rocky marciano

What was worst for Mike Tyson?

IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A FIGHTER THAT COMBINED J. JOHNSON, LEWIS, ROCCO, FOREMAN HOLMES AND TYSON, NOW THAT FIGHTER WOULD BEAT ALI CONSISTENTLY.
