How many times in a test cricket a ball passed through the stumps but the bails did not fall ?
Answers:
That's not possible, the distance between the individual stumps is such that the ball cannot pass through it
The diameter of the ball is greater than the distance between each individual stump
Why does Adam Gilchrist wear wicket-keeping pads while batting instead of wearing batting pads?
Once when South African Brian Macmillan was bowling after that stumps were adjusted once againHappened in oz with Damien Fleming bowling against Sri Lanka in MCG.
so guess Bruce has no idea as it would now seem we have 3 times where the ball has not dislodged the bails.
This is due to the stumps not being properly set up to start with or the ball losing its shape (a little)
