1) Although statistically Murali is the better bowler (bowling averages at test and ODI), I would have to go with Warne. One of Wisden's 5 cricketers of the century, and a bigger turner of the ball than Murali, has taken more wickets, and who knows how many he would have had if he wasn't banned for that period.

2) Lara may hold the highest test innings score, but on both occasions, he put himself before his country and caused a drawn test. Personally, I know it was a big effort but scoring a lot of runs on a flat pitch against a poor englang bowling attack doesn't signify a quality batsman. Tendulkar has a much better technique.

3) Lee is a far better player than Bond, and wins it if only for his participation in the 2005 ashes series

4) Simply on captaincy, I would have to go wth Fleming, as he has far weaker resources to call on. Also, I have never seen Fleming throw a wobbly like Ponting did after being run out by Gary Pratt in the Ashes 2005!
