I did wonder if the Bangladesh match was fixed...I didn't see yesterday's batting as I was at work but it sounded pretty damn awful - SA looked like a bunch of amatuers, it was really embarrassing to listen to!Smith has to be the worst captain we've ever had! It's time for him to accept he has failed and step down. Kallis should have taken over a long time ago, he has the most experience for the job. Having looked at the way South Africa performed, it seemed to me they had no fire in them, no burning desire to win. I only saw that fire and competitiveness in Langveldt, Hall and Nel, who in my opinion will go far!
The rest of the team needs a serious overhaul, keep Kallis, Smith (because when he wants to, he can actually bat and is a decent fielder!) as a middle order batsman, De Villiers and the other three I just mentioned, possibly Gibbs, not sure about Pollock, Boucher's batting has been utterly atrocious, I'm sure we can find a wicket keeper who's as good!
We also need a new coach as well because SA's tactics were completely wrong through most of the WC, they only got it right when they played england. I don't mind Smith staying in the team, but I sure as hell do not want to see that idiotic as captain anymore! Come on Smith, don't make more of a fool of yourself and do a Vaughan, admit you failed and make way for Big Jacques to take the helm!
Nonetheless, I doubt after this disasterous ending whether SA will be able to recover in time for the next WC. I'm just praying now that the Springboks redeem South Africa's name in the rugby world cup. From what I've seen, they have far more courage than the Proteas have recently shown!

I do not think there was anything to suspect match fixing. It was only rush of blood which prompted Smith to step out and try to hit Bracken in only the 3rd over, when circumstances demanded that he should stay at the wicket and settle down before attempting any attacking stroke. Kallis, who followed Smith also did the same mistake. Fall of these early wickets gave more encouragement and confidence to Australian Bowlers and put South African Batsmen under back foot.I wanna a know how to loin cricket?

As a south african that has lived in Austalia for a while i know both teams well. If one looks at the Australian games.all unbeaten. This takes brilliance. Now look at south africa. Lost agains Bangladesh. I think South africa lost a nerve, GS batted stupidly and so did all the other wickets lost. Australia play an agressive game and you need the balls to stand up to them. As a SA fan, in all my life, I have never seen Kallis bat like that. It had to be a pay off. For Kallis to attack McGrath like that and also got out in the same as Smith, it's impossible. SA have been in trouble many times before but never like this. Even Prince, playing that shot wide outside his offstump like that. DeVilliers, Gibbs, Hall; all fine batsmen, got caught on the crease with no foot movements to get the faint edge and be caught behind the wicket.
