Floyd Landis a drug user or The French anti-American cheaters?
Who can forget the French-Russian judge rigging in figure skating at the Olympic games. Tour organizers openly exalted in Lance Armstrong's retirement despite his being the race's greatest champion (imagine the NBA praying for Michael Jordan to retire!). And later French laboratory scientists leaked 4-year-old urine samples of Armstrong that had already been tested, in an attempt to insinuate that he had cheated years earlier. Given the the French propensity to cheat in sports and the French anti-American attitude, can we ever really be sure that Floyd isn't being framed?

No we can never be really sure. But I'd say it's more likely that Floyd has been fooling us, than the French fooling Floyd.Did you know that there is an interesting correlation between French anti-doping laws and the results of French riders? French law is probably the toughest in the world on doping; it's a criminal offense there. There is no mercy for French riders getting caught. The result is that no French rider has made any impact in the last years, while in the past they dominated the race.
My conclusion: the French are probably clean, and therefore they don't win. Now if they would cheat Landis out of the yellow jersey, wouldn't they cheat a Frenchman into it?
Exercise bikes are too complicated. Why not have an ordinary bike fixed on a permanent platform?
The French anti-American cheatersTHIS SAYS IT ALL.
Finally someone is seeing what's going on here, besides the media lying their asssseesssss off again so they can sell more of their trash in print or on tv. Thanks for the breath of fresh air. God Bless you.
You have oversimplified the possibilities. We will never be sure what has happened with Floyd.
The French will never admit to an error or to impropriety in the testing procedure (which is possible). Because of the this, the only way we could be sure of anything is if Floyd comes out and says he did something improper, which is very unlikely.
Meaningless conjecture: Floyd probably didn't take any 'roids. It makes no sense. There is no performance enhancing attribute he could hope to exploit by taking testosterone on one day (he passed all his other tests, which means we should be able to conclude that he only took something on one day). Even a novice would know that the testosterone wouldn't help his performance taken in this manner. That said, what are all these pin-heads implying when they say that Floyd MUST be a cheat. It makes no sense. Do they just assume that he is stupid? That is pretty lame. My guess is that if the test is truly valid, which remains to be debated, Floyd probably inadvertently ingested the testosterone (but where I cannot guess).
What are some examples of food that I can eat to improve my weight loss efforts?
Floyd should not dispare, he can always play baseballI would like to take long bicycle ride out of chicago. Maybe even a 2 day trip. Any suggestions?
Were all of Landis' samples actually tested? If so, it doesn't make sense his testosterone/epitesterone ratios were off only on one sample. Then why would anyone take synthetic testosterone only one time. I understand it won't help him the next day or next few days.
They didn't tell anyone of the failed test until he won the Tour. Why didn't they tell him earlier?
Seems like to me the French framed him.
I want to go to mountain biking in crested butte colorado but my wife and daughter dont ride?
The French are anti-american. They are ticked they loss the world cup and now want to mess over american cycling because they can't win crap. What is a good gift for a cyclist?
Well i think after two test failed ,is more than probable than Floyd cheat (and i hope not bc i believe is a great bike riders )A lot of suspision start after is stage were it took back all those 7.5 min and the leaders !
I remenber everyone was surprise ,even me but i was thinking it was just a good day for him like it was a day out of it the day before!!
I think he have the right to defend iteself and we not gonna see any progress before any trial!
Why does my bike change gears on its own?
The effort he used on Stage 17 is completely possible and heres why. If you watched stage 17, he was eating and drinking like crazy, and if i kept eating energy gels and bars and use 70 bottles of water, i dont think i would bonk. On top of that, cycling includes strategy, something which he used for the race. It was a predominantly mountain stage, which means it is totally individually powered, no peloton drafting you, except on the short flat before the final mountain where he did lose time. And he is one of the best downhillers in the peloton, whihch means if one of the guys in the front of the peloton arent also one of the best descenders, he is yet again putting time on them. The other contenders didnt want to put out an effort on other climbs besides the last, so they took it easier and went slower and yet again, Floyd lost a little more time on the last climb because he was weaker, but made it up on the decent because he decends better than Satsre. Also, long solo breakaways are exactlly how people won the tour from the beggining to the years of Bernard Hinault, so people were doing this before performance enhancing drugs were used. His coach even said that that is the way he trains, long and solo after stage 17 in the oln post race show. Now, epitestosterone, like testosterone can be taken as a drug, which means that you can have high levels of testosterone but a normal ratio. He tested for a suspicous ratio of testosterone to epitestosterone. Now he would have to be so stupid that if he was doping, he forgot to take any epitestosterone the day he knew he was going to be under intesnse speculation because they do make their strategy before the race starts, and you would have to be really stupid to do that.
Now, cycling to the French and Europeans is like baseball and football in America. If a French baseball player or team came into America and won the World Series and got MVP, i think Americans would be very angry too.
In conclusion, the feat he accomplished was absolutley possible, if he was doping, why wouldnt he be taking epitestosterone with it, and cycling is extremelly important to the French. I am not a complete beliver of the French conspiracy theory either, but i do see it as a possibility. i have reason to belive Floyd didnt dope because of what i stated above.
So the question remains of how the testosterone got into the samples.
WHo manufacture West point Bicycles?
The guy cheated, end of story. Dont like it? Wake up and stop thinking everything is anti-American. Im not anti-American, just anti you.Do I have to have good grades in school and graduate to be sponsored as a bmx rider?
I am not sure if these labs can be trusted, but the situation is not as simple as it may seem. The use of testosterone is pretty common among cyclists. It can be taken in limited levels. This is because the so called synthetic form is generally found in the body after consuming food like soy products. Now you have to eat huge and huge amounts of soy products to get your level up, but because of that possibility it is accepted to have a higher level then you and I would have. The trick is not to take as much as to get above that accepted level.
Almost all cyclists have a testosterone level that is higher then that of the average person and I don't think it is because they eat that much soy products.
In a way you can also compare it with speeding your car in between two traffic control checkpoints, they have to make sure that their level is down at an acceptable level at the right time. So yes, Landis may have cheated, but he is by no means the only one. He has done it in a more careless way though.
