About how fast can you go (in mph) with a 18 speed bicycle?

What is my 1969 ccm bike(twin shifter) 5 speed worth?
There are too many variables to accurately answer your question.18 speeds on one bike might not be the same as 18 speeds on a different bike due to gearing & varying cog sizes.
The type & grade of terrain also has an impact. If you're going downhill & drafting off a car you can easily go 50+mph.
The size of the tires has an impact. Thin tires go faster.
The conditioning of the athlete would impact the result if it is on flat ground with zero wind.
So.my answer is 30mph. If I pedal as hard as I can on flat ground on my mountain bike, I can get to 25+ mph, and I'm a pretty strong rider. I'm sure others could achieve higher.
Where can I get a wiring diagram for a Vision Fitness E3600HRC bike?
it depends on your "engine"Are there any mind tricks or shortcuts or tips to get cycle balance?PLZ HELP?
the speed of a bike depends on the number of teeth on each gear. 18speed bikes are pretty much obsolete, so i'm going to guess that you have a 44t fron ring with a 14t max cog on the rear, and say (i dont know the exact math to this) that you go just under 25mph by pedaling.More Questions & Answers...
