Can you bike on US-101 north once you get across the Golden Gate Bridge in California?

Heart rate is highly personal. There's not much point in comparing to other guys. Also don't confuse "max" with "target" heart rate. Plus, it's variable based on lots of factors like fatigue, hydration, sleep, motivation... the list goes on.

Without knowing any more than what you just told me, I can confidently state 2 things:
- You will benefit from taking 3 straight days off - no exercise at all. Replace your workout time with sleep. When you come back on day 4 you will be setting new personal bests.
- Your training has too much "middle" pace. Replace much of the "middle" pace with "easy" or "off", and add in a little bit more of "maximum intensity"

Good luck

You need to be checking your resting heart rate, if you have a max heart rate that high I would think your pretty fit. Check your resting heart rate in the morning right after waking up and before you get out of bed, you'll be surprised what it will be. I wouldn't be surprised if your was in the upper 30's lower 40's which is quite good. Do this every morning and you will establish a base line and soon will be able to tell if your previous day ride was too much which will be shown by a slightly elevated resting heart rate. Then you'll know weather to either take it easy that day or do some active rest. Of course there's more to all this than just checking your pulse daily, do some reading on the subject in either Velo News, Bicycling and specific books on training to learn more.
