What is the best way to train if I need to fully exert myself on a bike for 2 minutes?
I race downhill bikes, and was wondering how to train cardiologically for 2 minutes of high intensity riding? My muscles are fine but I begin feeling winded and fatigued.

ride road bike alot, with groups or even race.you're cardio will get pumped up bigtime.and after you've sprinted fairly regularly for about a month you will be able to sprint and recover in a few breaths. Long slow rides will give you a deep base of condiditoning that can handle the short 2 minute intensity crap will stability - also do 2 minute efforts at 100% -that's hard.How long is the cycle race tour de France please be specific in km?

Agree with the above guys, but you should also learn from the downhill skiers - they do isometrics and plyometrics and lots and lots of core and flexibility work. You'll also want some arm/shoulder strength/endurance, so pushups and such will help there.Ride uphill. The longer and steeper it is the better it will work.
