For a 14 year old, is a 5:52 mile any good? Or is it below average, or just average? Thanks.?

Hmmm.
A 5:52 mile on a bike for your age is about average if you ask me.

I average about 17 mph on my mountain bike (not a light bike either it weighs about 28 pounds and is a hardtail) riding through the forest... up mountains... through mud and sometimes snow... Thats about a 3:53 mile and I'm just a recreational rider, I don't race...

I'm only 17 too and my sisters boyfriend often rides with me (he is 14) and he can keep up pretty good... But he has something to prove and is above average if you ask me... He is completely beat by the end of the rides tho... ;-)

I think 5:52 isn't bad but it could be better... Its a good start... take longer rides and you will see that you go faster... Also as you get older you will get more muscle mass and be able to go faster cause your legs become like tree trunks :-)

Keep riding... Its a fun way to stay healthy and you will find it is a good way to burn off "steam" as you grow up...

I think you are referring to Biking. That is slightly below average for 1 mile, but if you could keep that kind of pace over a few miles it would be pretty good. It certainly is not bad though.

If you are speaking of running, that's pretty darn good.
