World record on the steepest hill with a mountain bike (going uphill)?
I would say it depends on the bike and how responsible the child is. I had a dirt bike when I was 7 and never got into any problems, never got hurt. I would recomend supervision at all times and of course proper protective gear. How much would a 2003 Giant Warp DS-2 Frame Sell For?
8 YEAR OLD GIRL...I SUPPOSE IT IS NOT SAFE FOR HER....AND DONT EVEN TRY TAKING THE RISK...Choosing my first bicycle. What should i look for?

8 yr old no that's not safe but how long you been having itWas Eddy Merckx the greatest cyclist ever? if so, why?
I would say OK with the right instructions and gear.If the adults are teaching her to ride safely, follow rules, and ride responsibly, YES good for her if she has an interest.
Correct gear is crucial!!
YOU GO GIRL!
Dirt Bicycle tracks in Indiana, Greenwood?
Where will she be riding? Personally if she wears a helmet etc and is supervised it will be fine. Of course she will fall over, scratch herself up, get some bruises, but personally I think that's part of childhood. As long as the area where she's biking isn't dangerous and maybe full of teenagers who might be doing more dangerous stunts that she might get in her head that she wants to try! Supervise her and let her have fun! Much better than playing with Barbies or watching TV, right? What type of bike is better next or mongose?
please post in the proper categorythis is Cycling, as in Bicycling
not Motorcycles
Are there bicycles which are powered by a rowing-machine-type mechanism?
As long as she is being taught safety and wearing protective gear it's probably ok, it may even be beneficial. Also, this should be a mini bike, one with little tiny wheels. She should be able to keep her feet flat on the ground while standing over the bike. Any thing bigger is NOT safe.Teaching children how to safely ride at a young age is great for self confidence and can be a good bonding activity for the family as a whole.
Lastly, uncleneal is right, this category is about bicycles, not motorbikes. Actually, this question more appropriately belongs in 'Home > Pregnancy & Parenting > Parenting'
