Who is the best hitting third basemen ,David Wright or Chipper Jones?
Right now who do you think he is as the season is rolling?
Answers:
Wright is only hitting .254 with 2 HR's, 14 RBI, and 18 runs.
Even as the season progresses, I think Jones will have a better season as long as he can stay healthy. I would look for 30+ home runs and 120+ RBI from Jones this season, with his batting average hovering around .300.
Wright will most likely turn things around but I would only expect 20-25 HR's and 90-100 RBI from him. His average should be around .290.
Jones is playing the way he did when he was an all-star.
Are any of these guys worthy of replacing my current(Brandon Phillips, Josh Barfield) 2B?
David WrightNeed some help with my fantasy baseball team?
Chipper is definitely off to the better start, but I wouldn't expect him to stay anywhere near that hot the rest of the season. He hasn't hit over 100 rbis since 2003. In his past 5 seasons he hit exactly 30 homeruns in 2004 and less than that the other 4 years. 30/100 would be a great year for him at this point. He gets hurt often and will slow down, I wouldn't count on those stats. However, if he does happen to keep it up, he should be rated higher than Wright this year.David Wright started slowly, but is starting to get it going. He should 'atleast' produce 25/100. That's fairly even, but keep in mind Wright should get atleast 15-20 steals if not more. However, Chipper will most likely strikeout less than the younger Wright. Those stats might matter to ya depending on your league.
i say Chpper Jones
I have the 3rd pick in a 12 man head2head fantasy baseball expert league...?
right now i would take chipper, but on a long run, its a no brainer, i would take David Wright.Would you trade Adam Dunn for Chris Duffy and Cory Hart?
Last David Wright was great. This year so far he hasn't shined like Chipper has. What determines a given player being on the "can't cut list" on Yahoo fantasy baseball '07?
Chipper can rake, but he's getting older and a constant injury worry. Wright is young and having a slump, but there's no doubt he has the ability to hit well. Right now: Chipper. End of the year: Wright.Sell Chipper REALLY high.
When is O'Neil coming back from his injury?
Chipper started off hotter but he'll come back down to earth where as wright will probably go on a tear some time soon to get back on his average pace so i would say for those who have chipper and are thinking about a trade for wright go ahead and do it.Trade high cause its a long long season and for injury prone guys that will catch up with them at some point.I say Wright is the far better second half hitter mainly because chipper will get hurt and even if its not bad enough to put him on the bench it will affect his hitting if he's not 100 percent.Who knows maybe chip will stay healthy and have himself a nice season but when it comes to fantasy sports you gotta play the odds.I made it to 2nd round of PO's with no RB's, who should i start - Dayne, Houston, Lundy, Cadillac?
