Well considering they are both hurt at this point, i would say that it is a pretty even trade. Personally i would take Soriano, because he has proven himself to be a consistent player over the past couple of years, Howard had a good year last year, but you need consistency, go with the reliable player in Soriano. This is not a knock on Howard, i think he is a great player, but has to prove to me that last year was not a freakishly good yearIs Derrek Lee and Tim Hudson too much for...?

I would take Soriano, too, I had another decent 1B option. Soriano gives you stats in pretty much every category. I'm a fan of blockbuster trades, b/c you do it knowing that it really isn't a risk and then you just let it play out.Will the Colorado Rockies have a chance to win thier division in 07'?
Ryan Howard, and it's not close. Soriano is aging fast (31), overrated and overpaid. Howard has 10+ years of all-star games left to go to...The only way I would think about taking Soriano is if it was just for this one year. Long term, Howard will dominate.
