Roto Baseball Scoring?

I played a public league last year, and joined another this year. After one game, I'm 50 points behind. Do you start the year with scores from last year?

Would you trade victorino for dye?

I agree with the others. I have been in roto leagues for a few years now, and the best thing is to be patient. A .300 career hitter will almost always hit around .300 by the end of the year. Some people see a slow start and start to unload their team for some unknown who has a good first week. If you get towards the end of April and are still 50 points behind, start making some changes. It is not uncommon for someone to gain 20-30 points in a day during the first few weeks.

Fantasy question?

No, its only the first game of the year...usually there will be major fluctuations in the scoring during the first couple of weeks - watch the waiver wire for others to start cutting big names if they start off slow, and pick them up.

What Defense should i go with? St. Louis, New Orleans, GreenBay?

Nope, watch the scoring one home run can be the difference between 8 points at the beginning. As the season progresses, good teams will begin to pull away from the weaker teams and every home run and RBI will bare less weight.

Who can i trade to get tori hunter?
