2B: R CaƱo
3B: R Zimmerman
SS: F Lopez
OF: Ichiro

OF: C Granderson
Bn: P Polando, O Visquez, O Cabrera, and two other guys (forgot who)
SP: J Peavy
SP: M Cain
RP: J Nathan
RP: T Hoffman
P: J Zumaya

P: A Reyes (named TB's closer)
Rate the team from 1-100 and tell me where I can improve.
Answers:
I have been playing fantasy baseball a long time and I still dont understand how waiver?
I don't think you can improve on anything. Usually the strategy that wins entails of having few bench batters and lots of pitchers (in this case, five relievers and seven starters). You probably didn't do this because losses count. But guess what, relievers get a crapload of losses too. I would drop some bench batters and pick up some starters who will win and get K's, and thats better because WHIP doesn't count.Great offense, great pitching.
99/100
1st/10
What happens if I lock out most of the managers in my fantasy league?
team is rated a 68 in my opinion...your starting pitching is weak, johjima hasn't gotten a hit yet, and start cabrera over lopez! Zimmerman hasn't really proven himself a reliable fantasy option yet..
nothing
Need to drop a closer, which one should I drop?
I would rate your team about a 70. Your offense is about a 80/100 but your pitching is about 60/100. You need to pick up another starting pitcher. Reyes is not really going to help you that much and Zumaya isn't even a closer yet.Drop one of your bench players and get another starting pitcher who can get you a lot of strikeouts. That should help your team a lot.
If you have another OF in free agency who is better than Granderson, you might want to pick one up. If not Granderson is decent.
ryboyin doesnt know what they are talking about zim is great and why bench lopez who gets you 40+ sb a year
heres the run donw
c- Kenji Johjima.Johjima is a solid, durable player who did exactly what one would hope in his rookie MLB season. He's entering the decline phase of his career, so don't be surprised if his ability to stay in the lineup and hit for average start to slip. Still, he has some power upside, and he should be a solid second-tier catcher again this year.look for his numbers to be around 17/70/.285 for the entire year out in seattle.
1b- 1b- Pujols is the guy you want first overall, over Alex Rodriguez, Johan Santana and anyone else you care to name. Ho hum, his OPS last year was 1.102, a career-high 49 HR, a career-high 137 RBI, struck out just 50 times, all while landing on the DL for the first time, which lowered his AB and his MVP candidacy. He's just 27..so look for his numbers to be in the range of 50/140/.330 and 10 sb as well.
2b- robinson cano.Cano was third in the AL in batting average last season. A hammy injury cost him six weeks, but he batted .365 and slugged .635 after the Break. He's a real talent, but he had a 26-7 K/BB ratio in that stretch, so you should expect a bit of a regression...so batting in that lineup he will more than likely put up numbers such as 20/80/.310 on the year
3b- Zimmerman has the kind of skills package that has most people dreaming and drooling. He has converted his athleticism to actual baseball skills, and his plate discipline should spike upward in the next season or two, meaning way more walks, more power, more average and more runs. A star now, he should be a superstar by 2008..but even though he is that good the nats are that bad...he has noone in that lineup protecting him so he will get walked more .and he also hits in cavernous rfk so power will be there but not to his full potential look for him to go 25/90/.300 on the year in washington
ss- Felipe Lopez...With Jose Vidro gone, Lopez will take over at 2B, and hit leadoff most days. He's not a very good defensive player, and he's a bit prone to mental lapses, but man, he can run. While i don't see any way he comes near his power numbers from '05 playing in RFK, Lopez should eclipse last year's 44 steals.so his numbers should be in the range of 10/55/.270 and grab close to 50 stolen bases on the year in washington
of- Ichiro Suzuki..The only question with Ichiro is how much will playing centerfield take out of him? He seemed fresh playing out there the final month-plus of '06, ending the year with 45 SB and a .322 average. This is Ichiro's free-agent year, and rumors abound he'll be elsewhere in '08. Expect another great season...i beleive he will have a hell of a season...look for him to give u about 10/60/.330 and steal around 40 for seattle
of- Sizemore is Vernon Wells, three year ago, but with more upside. He has all the tools to contribute in five categories, and is one of the top run-scorers in the AL thanks to his outstanding on-base skills and Cleveland's potent lineup. Build your outfield around him..build your outfield around him because he is going to give u these numbers: 120 runs scored, 30/90/.300 and steal 25-30 as well...all around great player..
of- Curtis Granderson..Granderson is entering his peak years, so he could deliver a .295-25-100 effort with 15 steals in the next year or two. His strikeout rate is alarming, but he could improve in just about every facet of the game. Recommended as a second-/third-tier starter.should be good for about 17/80/.290 to go along with 10 stolen bases on the year..
bn- polancos decent, but hollow BA as Polanco doesn't steal or drive in runs. He's only topped 126 games once in his career, so don't expect an iron man. He's a solid, but unspectacular source of runs and BA in fantasy basebal but not a hell of alot else...he will get ya 10/ 60/.300 on the year in detroit..
bn- Omar Viszquel....When joe morgan turned 40, he couldn't walk to the refrigerator without getting a charley horse. Somehow, Vizquel has gotten faster (even without Jose Mesa chasing him). Bank on 20 SB, but also on a lower AVG. Good MI in mixed, and great SS in NL-only..look for him to give you 5/60/.290 and 25 stolen bases on the year in san fran...
bn- Orlando Cabrera...Without the speed, you wouldn't draft him, but steal he can and the Angels love to run. At 32, his RBI and R continue to trend downward...he is still a solid option at ss none the less.look for him to give you about 10/60/.270 and 20 stolen bases out of him out in los angeles...so why would he be ahead of lopez? is beyond me...dont make that change
as for your rotation
sp- Jake Peavy- Bounce-back player of the year candidate. After pitching in the WBC, he never seemed to find his rhythm all year. Watch for renewed focus, especially with Yoda Maddux nearby. SP1 with 200 K in all formats.lol...so saying that means watch him contend for the cy young this year.look for him to post a 14-11 record and era around 3.50 and 210+ strikeouts for him out in san diego with the padres
sp- Matt Cain..Has incredible stuff and was borderline dominant as '06 ended. Young pitchers can be a nightmare, but he's a worthy gamble..he will evenutally turn out to be a stud ...like it or not he will be one of the best in the game as he matures..he will post a record of 15-10 and an era around 3.70 and 180 strikeouts .very solid numbers for him.
rp- Joe Nathan...i say never pay for saves. But it's okay to pay for Nathan's Ks, ERA and a WHIP that rivals Bluto's GPA in Animal House. Nathan even wins more games than most closers.so he is a real gem in all categorys so he should post a 6-2 record and save about 40 games this year and post era around 2 with 100k as well!
rp- Trevor Hoffman...There's no mistaking The Hoff is a hall-worthy closer. However, take a closer look and you'll see he's 39, an injury risk, and his K/BB and K/9IP are trending down. He'll get 35+ SV, but don't get greedy on ratios.he will probably save 40 but have a record of 1-3 and strikeout close to 50 on the year...
p- Joel Zumaya.Freakshow injury of the year: hurt his wrist/forearm playing too much Guitar Hero last season. He is wicked hard to hit, let alone homer off, but he can be beaten because his command disappears at times. Is already a very good reliever, and could move into the elite soon. But who knows how many saves he'll get?...
p- jose valverde..lol at having to tell people he closes for zona haha.valverde will really go out there and shock some people i beleive he can really throw heat and is playing for a wild card contender out in zona...he could reach 35 saves but 30 is more realistic with era around 2....good overall pitcher if he can keep the ball down.
p- Al Reyes.shock pick for closer in tampa bay ...dont really know what to expect out of him this year.
overall i would say your team IS STACKED bro you did an excellent job drafting...your lineup has an excellent mix of speed and power throughout...i would say that you are going to get ya sb out of lopez, sizemore, patterson, ichiro, and cabrera and thats more than plenty and you have power throughout .if you are indeed looking for a sleeper hitter or two take a look at these guys and keep them in mind..
c- iannetta who could have breakout year
1b- adrian gonzalez who will hit around 20+homers lol
2b- ty wigginton who can hit the deep ball and is eligible at multiple positions
3b- iwamura who will hit for average
ss- troy tulowitzki will as well have a breakout year at ss in colorado
of- chris duncan will hit around 30 homers this year
of- jonny gomes will hit alot of hw as well if healthy
of- brad hawpe is good for around 20 homers in colorado
util- nick markakis is going to have a stellar year for baltimore this kid is here to stay
or quite possibly elijah dukes who is really swingin the bat well so far this year..
and as for your rotation.as for your rotatoin? you only have 2 starters.your right you need to trade a closer for a starter maybe even two because you really need one i say trade zumaya but other than that your rp are just fine you have an abundance of them wchih isnt seen too often lol
if you are indeed looking for a sleeper pitcher or two take a look at these players and keep themin mind when making a selection
sp- chuck james who has kept his era this spring around 1 in 5 starts will be stellar in atlanta this year
sp- clay hensley who has a good k rate should do fine in sd if healthy
rp- mike gonzalez will end up closer by yeras end over wickman
rp- torres could shock alot of people has kept ball down this yera and could save around 25 games
p- wainwright who also has kept era around 1 this spring...
p- jeremy sowers who proved he could pitch in cleveland last year shall repeat again thsiy ear
p- westbrook is consistent as they come
or even bettter sleepers are ted lilly, tom glavine, jason jennings, ian snell, or quite possibly daniel cabrera..
hope i helped
goodluck
and have fun bro!!
Do you start Jamal Lewis or Ladell Betts at RB?

1B: A+
2B: B+
3B: C+
SS: C
OF: A
SP: B
RP: A
P: B+
good all around team. perfect speed, more power (even though you have pujols. get rid of JOKEima now. start cabrera instead of lopez. trade visquez and polanco for a better catcher.
id give it a 78
(btw thansk for ranking my team)
Should i trade al jefferson and luther head for j-rich, mickael pietrus, and tj ford?
Mostly pitching.Reyes and Valverde stink.try to get Torres and Snell. There not great but they are an improvement. They should be in the free agent market.Who should i start in week 16?
You have a handful of guys on your team that are not "Locks" meaning you really dont know what you can get and are HOPING for the best. I think its ok to do that in 1 spot like your last OF or your last SP ... figuring that those will be the positions where eventually someone will come along playing well and you can pick them up on waivers.Zimmerman, Granderson, F. Lopez are all great but I would be nervous having to rely on them. SS, 3B, and 2B are positions that I like to lock down with my earliest draft picks because they are the most limited in talent and least likely for a youngster to come up in waivers... outfielders come out of nowhere not infielders.
I like your pitching although i would lose the bench hitters and load up on SP... then keep inserting them into your lien up each day. .. unless its a weekly league.
Valverde has good potential but has a high era.
Why didnt anyone take brady quin untill the brows second pick?
