Question:allright, i'm in a 14-team league and i'm currently not doing very well. its the basic 5x5 stats in head-to head competition. give me some suggestions, pickups/drop offs, trade proposal. etc...

Should I get Mike Pelfrey and drop Shealy or should I wait until the 15th when he comes up to the MLB?

you need some help in the pen. get rid of borowski, in a head to head lg. you would be better off with a solid set up man. I would recomend broxton in la, or lidge.. also try to get multi posistion players, so it easier to mix and match your line up...
but take a long look at that bullpen..a solid set up man will get you k's, maybe a win, with very low era and whip, better than borowski.

your really fine on steals with Reyes and Victorino, but think about adding someone with rbis and runs. Check out Jack Cust and Dan Johnson of the A's who have been doing great. Also if a closer is available like Jeremy Accardo of the blue jays or Al Reyes of the devil rays you could get saves from them.

The first thing I would do is look to trade Kelly Johnson. You should never play a player who has 2nd base eligibility in the outfield, because 2nd is such a weeker position. In addition, you have Delmon Young on the bench, who is solid, and there are probably better OF on the waiver wire the 2b. To top it off, Johnson has had a great start to the season and his trade value now is higher then it will ever be. I would try to trade him for a solid outfielder who is off to a slow start...maybe Nick Markakis, who is about to get hot, or someone like Paul Konerko at 1b, who has been god awful, but you know his numbers will be good at the end of the season. Just look to see who in the league has a weak 2nd basemen and he is your target. Good luck!
