Who should I take for fantasy baseball? Howard Reyes or Soriano?
Answers:
Tony Scheffler or L.J. Smith where do you go?
I would take Reyes because good steals are hard to come by and the SS pool gets a lot shallower than the 1b and of poolI like to know your opinion about this trade?
reyes.. he is youung promising... and an up and coming hall of famer. in the lead of position he willl have many rbis he became more of a power hitter and is extremely fast... also a great hitter. take reyes cause you can expect. 10 errors or lower ... 120- 130 rbis 20-25 home runs 40-60 steals and atleast a .300 batting average... just look at joses stats last yearWant Points? i would take ryan howard, hes a big man with a lot of power, i think he'll hit 60 home runs this year.Plus im an pihllies fan lol
What if players were drafted to the teams that are in the same state as their college?
neither. i would definatley take chase utley, even number 1 overall. he is literally the ONLY elite second baseman. next is robi cano, but cmon, hes nowhere near utley (.310/32/100/130/15). utley is the best fantasy VALUE. there are tons of good first basemen, so dont take howard. there are also many awesome outfielders, so soriano isn't worthy. instead of reyes, take hanley ramirez in the next round for similar stats. i go with utley in the first round, han ram in second, then a good first baseman in third round. trust me, there will be good first basemen avaialb.e then clean up w/ some outfielders, closers, and a third baseman. catcher isn't that hard, since after the first three they all suck the same.I don't see where batting leadoff gets you RBIs, but whatever floats your boat. I would take Soriano with this pick, he will be hitting right in the heart of that cubs order (maybe even sandwiched between aram and Lee) which will not only give him HR and RBI opportunities in the hitter friendly wrigley field, but pitches to hit. Reyes is good for speed, but you need a five tool player with your first pick, and Soriano gives you just that.
Who whould u start at RB? week 15?
Soriano. He can hit homers, steal bases, and actually didnt have a whole lot of errors last year for a player at a new position.I'm a Fantasy 1st Timer! Hows my squad looking?
howard becasue he just got alot of money and there are plenty of good base stealers like reyes and soriano.WHO TO START? BarberIII or Chester Taylor?
I actually like Shawn's idea of taking Utley - i haven't seen that tried this year. He is still a first round pick, usually around 6,7 or 8. But the first round pick is not that important in fantasy, all the teams will get a good player in the first round. It's what you do to build on the first round pick that makes it important. 2B is by far the most lopsided position, after Utley and Cano you can probably wait until the 4th or 5th round for 2B. And then take Rollins or Ramirez on the way back down to have a solid middle infield. That would leave you free to take a tier one closer for your third pick, that should start the run on pitching and catchers will start to go leaving you some quality at 1B, 3B and OFSoriano because he can hit homeruns he could play anywhere you put him and he can steal bases
How do I make my picks on yahoo tournament pick em the field is on there !?
ill take howard over reyes or sorianoWhat do you think about Derek M. Smith (49ers) as a fantasy player?
i would take Soriano because he's got speed so he going to steal bases, he is going to get more runs because he's got speed and he has power. he is the complete packageSuper Bowl question: Crotchery or Dayne?

reyes, if you can find it one of the fantasy guys wrote an article that shows that overall despite hitting for less power, reyes was more valuable than both of them in fantasy because of his average, steals, and even bringing in 80 rbis and 20 hrs from the leadoff spot... plus hes what 24, he can only get better...It all depends on your drafting strategy. My vote goes for Reyes. Howard was extremely impressive last year, jacking 58 into other states. However, I have reservations about him. 1. Not really proven himself to do that consistently yet. Think 2002 Luis Gonzalez. 2. No SB's at all. 3. There are 8 1B's that could drive in 40 HR's fairly easily over a season. 4. His AB's were fourth most amongst starting 1B's by season's end (Only Morneau, Teixeira, and Sexson had more. Overbay tied him.)
Soriano makes a strong case. A five-tool in fantasy leagues. He will put up numbers across the board, there's no doubt about that. And he is landing in a nice spot in a line-up with tremendous upside. Think Lee and Ramirez. Also, the "power alley" in left field is 365 feet at Wrigley Field, compared to 385 at his former home. An increase in HR productivity can be expected.
Even with all that for Soriano, I would choose Reyes. His production at a limited position makes for a huge difference. While there are not many at Soriano's level, there are plenty of OF's/UTIL's that can pump out the power numbers that will be readily available in the later rounds.
Fantasy MLB trade: did I give too much?
power( hrs, rbi) speed( SB"S) - SorianoNeed two out of four. Driver,Colston,Coles or Stallworth.?
I would go with Reyes. Howard will be hard pressed to duplicate last years performance, Soriano will more then likely put up similar numbers as last year but Reyes is on the rise and with the supporting cast he has he should easily surpass last years numbers.RB's - Deuce, Benson, D. Williams, and M. Turner... Which 2 do I play?
Soriano. Howard can get you Homers and RBI. Reyes can get you stolen bases and OBP. Soriano can get you all of them.I'm looking to trade Dotel the closer from KC for a power hitter?
