Fantasy MLB, Should I drop Josh Hamilton For Ken Griffey Jr?
I didnt get a good OF during the draft other than Torri Hunter and DL have hurt me. I am thinking of getting Ken Griffey JR for Josh Hamilton (I got Josh during Nick Markasis slump). Hunter Pence is also available. I also have Robinson Cano who has been replaced by Dan Uggla as my full time 2B and moved Sammy Sosa as my Util player with Torri Hunter and Shane Victorino as my other OF. This is a mix league and no keepers. Chris Young, Troy Glaus, Johnny Peralta, and Geoff Jinkons are also available off waivers on May 19. I have Jones playing 3B with Eric Chavez as backup, Mauer as and V. Martinez as Catcher, Adrian Gonzalez 1B. Thanks

I would add griffey...he is hot and for as long as he can stay healthy he is a pure hitter so no worries about rookie slumps like Hamilton will experience (and to a degree is feeling right now). I would also pick up Glaus (bonus as a 3rd and SS eligible), again a guy with injury issues but when he is playing he possesses a potent bat. With Jones (I am assuming you mean Chipper) you have another guy with a long injury history and can only count on him playing 135 games tops with 120 being more realistic (but again a great bat when health). Offer Cano around for a solid outfielder.someone with a poor 2nd baseman may have some outfield depth and will consider getting him. So I would add griffey and Glaus, they give you the best bats but keep in mind they also need monitoring at all times because of the injury history.Should I play V. Young M. add pence and griffey and drop hamilton and someone else..but if i hadda choose id say go with penceYes. Get him. Hamilton has slown down. Drop Hamilton and Chavez and pick up Griffey and Glaus. You didn't say who your SS is, but Glaus can play there and 3B. Jenkins isn't bad, but he usually only plays against righties.
