Should I trade JJHardy?
Question:I have JJHardy in a non-keeper league. Should I even consider trading him? If so what player should I look for in return?

Hardy has been on fire but he has never shown any sign that he can do this all season so if you want to get rid of him, now is the time. I would look for some OF help if I were you. Maybe someone who can run. I don't have a lot of confidence in Cust. He too has been hot lately but he also has no record of doing well for a long period of time and he plays over half of his season in pitchers parks. Maybe you could package Hardy and Cust together to get a solid 20 + HR 75 + RBI OFer.You may also want to go after Furcal. He is not one of the big three or four SS, but he gets on base and loves to steal. His ankle is better now and he's been hitting the ball well after a slow start. His owner may be frustrated that Furcal started on the DL and then didn't hit well at all during his first couple weeks back.

yes trade him now while hes hot,you need sb's go after reyes and rollins,throw in a starter like looper/marquis if needed,his numbers wont hold up all year,look at his career statsNo because obviously you'd have to trade for another middle infielder unless you're planing on playing Hill.
^Hardy and Marquis for Reyes? Who would ever do that? You'd be lucky to get a struggling Miguel Tejada. Nobody wants to touch Hardy, I've tried packaging him a hundred different ways in my league, because I have Reyes.
I say stick with Hardy.

I hear a lot of people trying to trade Hardy at a high point. It is very hard to trade him because most people think he can't keep this pace up for the whole season. So i doubt anyone will give you top talent for him because of that reason. So if you really want to trade him you might have to try for a good player and not a great player. You could try shopping him around for a good base stealing OF or SS, like maybe an Ichiro or a Furcal, but I'd honestly keep him. All the experts are saying sell high, but that's assuming everyone else is going to look at his pure numbers and value him as a top tier player, which pretty much nobody is. Basically, everybody's looking at him thus far as a fluke, and nobody's wants to trade a Pujols for this year's Chris Shelton. But while he's obviously not going to keep this ridiculous pace up, he can certainly hit, and hits 2nd/3rd on a good offense in a weak division. Plus, there's certainly nobody better on the WW to replace him with, so I'd stick it out and see what he does. He's been hot for a while, and could be the real deal.More Questions & Answers...
