Do you think Americans will ever become interested in football.?
As an American I wonder if our country will ever embrace football for the great sport it is. I know American's are money hungry and do not like the lack of advertising in the games but why else do you feel that most American's reject football even though it is the greatest team sport on earth.

Should VINCE YOUNG be encouraged or discouraged for getting the cover of MADDEN 08?
American football is the most popular game in the US. I do believe you are talking about soccer though. Soccer will never be big in the US. Football, baseball, basketball, even hockey are, and will remain, the much more popular sports in the US. Soccer is much to slow, boring, and lacks the excitement of other team sports. What's your opinion on Rex Grossman?
Are you speaking of soccer? If so, Americans will never like it because it is SO BORING!But if you are talking about real Amerian football, you are nuts. The average number of viewers and game attenders per game in a season is astronomically higher than any other sport. Baseball technically has more viewer because it has like 150 more games per season than football (200 if you count playoffs), but if you take average number of viewers per game it is enormous. The Super Bowl is always the highest rated TV program in its year, and some SBs are the highest rated TV events in the world, having over 1 billion viewers.
Why did Coach Reid, take a mediocre QB from houston, when the eagles needed defense the most?
If you mean soccer football, its because nobody likes it so the US doesn't have a team. If you mean football like where you tackle people, Americans are huge into it.Should Brady Quinn have went fishing instead of going to the draft?
Football is the most watched sport in America. It beats out baseball and basketball and yes americans play the sport in high school and middle school so why do you say that we are not interested in football?Who should the Oakland Raiders take with the #1 pick in the NFL Draft?
Americans already LOVE football.Who will be the Raiders #1 Hb?
if u mean soccer no but if u mean the real and only footbal then yes it is the 1st watched sport in american and the 2nd most watched sport in the whole worldWell first of all its called soccer...
I dont like it because of all the gay floppers trying to get calls. And watching only a few goals scored, if that, is just not fun.
How Bout those Miami Dolphins? OH YEAH!!?
I think you're referring to what is called soccer in the US. Well, you're very ignorant in your generalization. I don't go to games to see advertising that's not what makes a sport popular. American football and baseball didn't start out with advertising all it, it helped pay the bills to keep the leagues alive. Soccer never caught on here, America started playing it's own games it invented, such as football, baseball, and basketball. Which slowly became popular. Soccer may have a chance, if you look how popular NASCAR has become the past few years. But I highly doubt it, if it didn't become popular in the US in the 70's when Pele was promoted. I doubt it ever will. We love our homegrown sports. Can you play high school football with glasses?
This question is proof that someone forgot to lock the door at the funny farm.I think you are talking about soccer, not American football. If that's the case, then it probably will never take off like the NFL. Americans just love the NFL more than any other sport. I know I do!! It's the number 1 sports league in the country. I personally don't like soccer and think it's boring. Judging by the numbers, most Americans feel the same way, so like I say, soccer will probably never take off in America the way the National Football League has, but it could still make a considerable profit. I just won't be attending any games.
