Superbowl I?
Is it an urban legend or is it true that the kickoff of the second half in Superbowl I was actually done twice because it was broadcast on two TV networks and one didn't get back from a commercial break in time.

Here's a recollection from CBS' Jack Whitaker, who called the game:
"I took my seat and they kicked off to start the second half. All of a sudden, whistles are blowing all over the field. I didn't see any flags and I had no idea what was going on, the worst situation any broadcaster can find himself in. Then I looked over at Frank Gifford, who was working with me, and his shoulders were slumped, too, because he had no clue either. A few seconds later, we learned why they stopped. NBC had been in a commercial break during the kickoff, so they had to have a do-over for television. I'd never seen anything like it."

That is stupid. Why would they do that again. If a tv network missed Janet Jackson showing her boob they wouldn't have Justin pull of her shirt again. Or would they? Will Quinn keep his college # now that he is in the NFL?
