Superbowl I?

Is it an urban legend or is it true that the kickoff of the second half in Superbowl I was actually done twice because it was broadcast on two TV networks and one didn't get back from a commercial break in time.

Are you tired of hearing?

Yes, but the first kickoff was not completed. The refs blew the whistle when the ball was kicked, but it was too late to stop it. The kick was not returned and everyone set up to do it again.

Here's a recollection from CBS' Jack Whitaker, who called the game:
"I took my seat and they kicked off to start the second half. All of a sudden, whistles are blowing all over the field. I didn't see any flags and I had no idea what was going on, the worst situation any broadcaster can find himself in. Then I looked over at Frank Gifford, who was working with me, and his shoulders were slumped, too, because he had no clue either. A few seconds later, we learned why they stopped. NBC had been in a commercial break during the kickoff, so they had to have a do-over for television. I'd never seen anything like it."

Who will Carolina select in the NFL Draft?

That is stupid. Why would they do that again. If a tv network missed Janet Jackson showing her boob they wouldn't have Justin pull of her shirt again. Or would they?

Will Quinn keep his college # now that he is in the NFL?

thats pretty stupid by the network but it did happen
