Question:Texans traded their first round pick 8th overall and two 2nd rounders (2008 and 2009) to the Falcons for their first rounder 10th overall and backup QB Matt Shaub...
Who do you think wins this trade?
Matt Shaub is only a backup and hes not a proven good QB...why did the Texans give up so much?

Schaub hasnt proven to be a good QB yet, hes most likely going to start in Houston but will compete with Carr for the starting job
i relly dont no why the Texans gave up so much for a QB that is 0-2 as a starter and has 6 career passing TDs
but who knows, Schaub could end up to be a decent QB at the end of next season, even tho Houston at best will go 6-10, depends on who else the get in the offseason then maybe they could be 8-8
if Carr doesnt start then i actually think its good for him because then he doesnt have to worry about getting sacked another 50+ times(SACKED 249 TIMES IN 5 YEARS!) and now Schaub will have to deal with getting sacked 50+ times because of that horrible offensive line
Houston should draft a OL in the 1st rd or they shoud pick up some free agent OL (adam timmerman & jason fabini are some free agent OL they should go after)

Well Schaub has proven to be a pretty decent QB, I would like him for the Panthers, but I wouldn't give up two 2nd round picks for the guy. I think Atlanta got the better end of the trade, but now they have Vick and no quality #2 option.Top 20 players in this years draft class?

it's a risk either way. those two 2nd round picks don't guarantee anything. houston gets the comfort of knowing that shaub's been the #2 guy in atlanta for a couple of years now, so he must have something to offer...
I think its Falcons they already have a Qb and with those 3 picks in the first 2 rounds they can get

The Falcons!! they get to move up 2 slots in the 07 Draft they also get 2 2nd round picks and all they got rid of was a BACKUP quarterback who only threw 180 passes in his NFL Career!! WOW the Texans ARE that dumb!!! Matt Schaub is over rated if the Texans plan on having a good quarterback they need to improve the OLine! I bet now everyone in Houston thinks that Schaub is the QB of the future! anytime you get 3 probable starters for a backup quarterback who can potentially become an average to above average QB, it's a good deal.Falcons win, Texans continue to mess up (i.e. Reggie Bush)
I think Atlanta absolutely won the trade because they could snag a quarter back like Drew Stanton from MSU. I'm a Packer fan and I know GB only gave up a 1st round pick for Favre. I really doubt Schaub will ever be that good.

This just shows that the Falcons are putting all of their hope in Micheal Vick. they pay him 100 millioin dollars, so they should. In this case I think that the falcons are getting the better end of the deal. Moving up two spots in th draft could give them a chance of nabbing a great wide reciever.I really don't think that a back up QB is all that important as long s he can get the job done

Besides Shaub (he now gets a chance to start) The Falcons made a killing in this trade a second round guy in 2 years in a row is very very good. (usually good prospect D talents can be found here.) Not only this but Shaub would get dusty on Atlanta's bench. So Atlanta Gains Cap Space. gets a higher draft order and gets some more picks in the up comeing year. Matt Schaub's back account wins because he'll probably get a phat contract and then stink it up. I don't get why the Texans are giving up on Carr he completed freakin 68% of his passes last year if they gave him some protection and another good reciever to go with Andre Johnson I'm sure he could put up Pro Bowl number. They both win, but in my opinion the Falcons got a better deal. They already have the "Human Highlight" at QB and with the 8th pick in the draft they can take either Marshawn Lynch, Dwayne Jarrett or Ted Ginn, Jr. to take the pressure off of Vick.In my humble opinion...the Texans probably gave up too much. However, I am THRILLED that David Carr will no longer be the starter for the Texans. He has been a wreck from day one and for those that like to quote stats.please don't..just try sitting through five seasons of Carr. He doesn't have what you would call a football IQ. If Houston doesn't get offensive line help, nobody wins. The Falcons have no viable option for a #2 QB unless they draft one. Considering their draft history, a QB might be their best option. Houston gave up picks for potential, always a risk, but so is the draft, and Schaub is one of the most sought after QBs, the question is if they don't fix the O-line, he'll run into the same problems as Carr. In any question with the houston texans involved it seems that the other guy always wins. Yes Schaub has provin to be a solid backup but Carr when he was younger was better. The texans have never addressed the problems they need to like defense and the o-line. Atlanta also gets to move up two picks and they get 2 2nd round picks the next 2 years. matt schaub unfortunately wont do much in houston with that pathetic offensive line. i'd take carr over schaub only in houston as he's been able to take many hits and who know how many schaub could handle.More Questions & Answers...
