Why is American Football extremely Racist?
Question:Here are a few facts
There are no white starting cornerbacks in the NFL out of 64 players who start at that position. In fact, there are no white cornerbacks in the entire league. There are zero starting white tailbacks. No white running back has run for over 1,000 yards in nearly a quarter of a century. Only about five percent of starting wide receivers and safeties are white.
Might there be other factors involved? For example, did you know that the 119 Division I-A major college football programs, with very, very few exceptions, simply refuse to recruit and develop white tailbacks and white receivers no matter how outstanding they are in high school? And that the media enforces this rigid segregation by using euphemisms and descriptions that demean white athletes?
Dont you think its a bit strange when Whites win 90 percent of the Winter Olympic medels and 70 percent of Summer Olympic medels and excel at most sports but can't seem to run with a ball?

I couldn't agree more. Everyone talks about having to have more black coaches to represent the amount of black players. How about having more white players to represent the white coaches. It's funny that the world has become so one sided against white men. Quotas for jobs for minorities and women but none for white men. Its about time the best person get the job rather than the best person in a certain catagory. Why is it that every black QB can't be put to the same standard as a white QB. Wow...you obviously didn't watch college football this year. There were plenty of white tailbacks. A few years ago there was a player named Jason Sehorn that was an All-Pro CB. I think it is just trends. There are fast white guys and fast black guys. I just was at a high school game and the tailbacks were Korean. whit guys cant run, cant jump, cant catch, all they can do is push people around at the line of scrimage and this is coming from a white guy
it goes deeper than even what you list. if you notice they say things like "not a thinking mans QB" when they talk about black quarter backs in the NFL. and they will refer to white quarter backs as "not very mobile" until they prove other wise on the field. in big bens first season they called him immobile a few times in the early games then when he started running they had to stop. if you do your research warren moon was actually one of the best QB's in the game but he had to play in the CFL for a while because he was black and really up until him black Qb's were not considered intelligent enough to start in the NFL. no joke. it is sad but every so often a guy comes along and changes every ones perspective a little. guiys like todd heap and jeremy shockey. guys like brian russel (FS) and kevin kaesviharn(also FS) adam archuleta (SS) and john lynch. my point is every now and then someone comes along that changes things. prior to warren moon you didnt see a black starting QB, prior to moose johnston you did not see a white receiving tight end, jason sehorn and john lynch paved the way for the return of the white safety. there are just times when someone is such an incredible talent that you cant overlook them. they will be back at CB and at the RB spot and they will dominate. just give it time. let us not forget the incredible career of ed mcaffrey who graduated from stanford of all places.

American Football is a rough sport. Not anyone can step up and make plays like that, run like that, catch like that, think and throw the ball like that.
You can have the fastest guy on earth as a wide receiver in your team for all I care: What happens as soon as a "Ray Lewis" or any other great tackles this Olympic fellow in the act of catching the ball ? He'll be lucky to get up and walk out the field on his own..

I don't know. I guess it doesn't matter the color of your skin if your a player only a coach. These people say it doesn't matter? bullshit. Have many times did you hear about the two black coaches... That's why there aren't any white starting corners. For that matter, there aren't any other races either.
It's no secret and it isn't racist to say that traditionally and anatomically, blacks are generally more naturally athletic than whites. Colleges recruit towards this, so thusly more African Americans are going to go to recognized colleges where they have four years usually to learn their craft.
I don't think the NFL is "racist". I think they're taking the best available players there are. Whether or not the college game is geared toward racism is an entirely different story.

The reason people start is BECAUSE OF THEIR SKILLS, race is never a factor in the NFL. If it was, there would be no Payton Manning, Tom Brady, Shockey, no white people. I think that if there were good white running backs, wide receivers, corner backs or safeties coming out of college they would get jobs in the NFL. A lot of whites pick other things to do with their spare time when they are in or leaving school. Look what happened to Jeff Samadija. I think some in the media do demean athletes as a whole. You hit the nail on the head when you said no white running back has run for over 1,000 yards in 25 years.Truth: The NFL AND the NCAA are big business. There is intense pressure to win. If the powers that be thought for one second that white running backs could help their team win you would see white running backs. If a white running back had the measureables of an Adrian Peterson they would be recruited like hell and just as much money would be thrown at their feet. Problem is, you can't find white running backs like that can you. A stopwatch doesn't see color does it?
You mention the olympics but excelling in swimming or skiing or the luge does not, automatically make you NFL material does it? A better olympic measure for the positions you brought up (tailback, receiver, corner) are the sprints. How many white olympians do you see winning the 100, 200, and 400 meter sprints. It does happen every once in a while, but it happens just about as often as whites get starting tailback, receiver, and corner jobs.

You seem to be the only one that has a problem with what color the players are. The game isn't racist - you're the racist. Teams don't recruit based on color, they recruit on skill to win. If there was a white guy who was the best high school running back in the country, I'm positive big name schools like USC, Michigan, Oklahoma, and so on would be recruiting him because they want to win. Period.True football fans only care about talent not race.

First off, the whole bit about Division I-A schools not wanting to develop white tailbacks is wrong. In case you missed the Orange Bowl this year, Louisville's tailback/fullback Brock Bolin is white. He started part of the year because the more experienced guy in front of him was hurt. He's expected to be a key starter returning for this next season. And guess what, they won the Orange Bowl. That's a BCS Bowl. Which means they're now officially a "major program". Ouch.And have you ever heard of a white guy named John Lynch who played Safety and Cornerback for the Buccaneers, but now plays for the Broncos. He's a 7 time Pro Bowler. Guess we've debunked that myth too.
Oh and white WR's. Let's see, we have Joe Jurevicious who won a SUPER BOWL with Tampa Bay, Wes Welker who was just traded to the Patriots for a nice chunk of change, and most recently Jeff Samardzija from Notre Dame who bypassed the NFL for the MLB. He was noted to be one of the FASTEST men in college football. He was white too. And that's just a few guys off the top of my head.
When it all comes down to it, there is more racial balance in the NFL then there is in any other professional sport I can think of. So you probably need to go whine in another category, like hockey or something. There are a fairly decent number of whites and blacks in the NFL. It's true that there are a majority of either race at certain positions, but I think that is more of being brought up to play a certain position due to social standards and not talent standards.
Oh and in case you want to ever throw in some stuff about the NBA, ever heard of 2005 MVP Steve Nash. In case you missed the memo, he's white too.
Trust me, the NFL doesn't "favor" blacks. If that was the case they wouldn't be pushing so hard for black coaches to be hired. And if you want to start comparing "racial" statistics, then how is not many white WR's any different then not many black QB's? Why is it there are more white offensive linemen then black? If you're going to argue your point you can't just part of the statistics. That makes you someone who isn't very credible.
Like I said before, they pick players who are the best at their position. They don't care whether they're black, white, red, yellow, and etc. They're a business and they're going to go with what makes them money.
