I hear a lot about the Patriots signings in free agency but did they have a good draft? What do you think?

I give the Pats draft an AWhy?...They get Moss and all it costed them was a 4th rounder. Plus, they get Moss to restructure his contract. What a steal! 1st round pick, Meriweather is a talented safety out of U of Miami but has been labeled for having character issues. If he stays out of trouble, he could be good, Ed Reed good. He should really benefit learning from the great Rodney Harrison. With an already deep roster, the Pats got the 49ers 1st round pick next year for the 28th pick, which should turn out to be a quality pick. The rich simply get richer.
To recap, the Pats were able to get one of the top receivers in the league, a potential starter at safety and a decent 1st round pick next year...How does that not deserve an A?

I think they had a below average draft but they added so much talent. It is just a question if the talent will be the same as having great team play. I guess the test will be this season to see how it all goes.Did the Cowboy's blow it by trading away their pick to Cleveland ?

Well, the Patriots stole U. of Miami safety Brandon Meriweather away from the Eagles. Meriweather is an excellent anticipator and someone that head coach Bill Belichick will try in the slot in training camp. But the story of this draft is that the Patriots acquired Randy Moss for a fourth-round pick and Moss reduced his $9.7 million salary in half to make the trade with New England a reality. Belichick has always wanted Moss and the timing was perfect for the Patriots, who also traded one of their first-round picks, giving them two first-round picks in next year's draft. "This team is so far ahead of the rest of the league, it isn't funny," a rival general manager said of the workings of Belichick and personnel man Scott Pioli. Yes, New England looks like the team to beat in the AFC, considering their vastly improved receiving corps. Landing Randy Moss was an extension of the draft. Combine Moss with Meriweather and they had a fantastic draft. Moss will perform much better than any 4th round pick and Meriweather is a huge hitter with lots of upside.Anyone know where to Find a video?
The Patriots I would say had a good draft. They got in the first round Merriweather from Univ. Miami. At the same time, they got Randy Moss for a 4th round pick. That trade is a no loss situation. In next years draft, they have 8 picks. They have rounds 1 to 3. The 4th round pick the Raiders have. Patriots also have rounds 5, 6, 7. At the sme time they have the 49ers 1st and the Raiders 3rd round picks. As a whole, they had a good draft.Which Qb have the best numbers on his new team?
I have a question that hopfully answers yours. Has Bill Belicheck, and Scott Pioli ever had a bad draft? The answer is no.They did fine, they addressed the teams issues in free agencey. Just because they didn't get 7 or eight guys on draft day doesn't mean they failed. They are stacked once again in next years draft where the talent is supposed to be better then this year.

Both their draft and the Cowboy draft involved trading for a first round pick next year. If the Patriots watch SF go to the SB that was a horrible move. If SF goes 1-15 the Patriots made out like bandits.For the Cowboys use Cleveland for SF.
As for the players, I generally give at least 3 years before declaring anyone a busts.
