Who was the most dissapointing team in the N.F.L last year that did not make the playoffs?

The Panthers should have made the playoffs. They were very inconsistent on a weekly basis. Delhomme hit the wall last year and had a very below average season. Twice he threw interceptions in the end zone at the end of games that cost his team victory. Each time his team was down by three at the time as well. The defense and offense were both ravaged by injuries (Dan Morgan, Justin Hartwig, Trevell Warton,) but that is no excuse. A team that was loaded with talent but just never got it going and at some points looked like they quit.I want to gain A LOT of weight for football?

For me it was the Carolina Panthers they had most of the major weapons from last year and added a second WR in Keshawn Johnson they were most people's Superbowl pick and didn't even make the playoffs. They by far had the most disappointing season.The Dolphins and Carolina Panthers were supposed to Super Bowl contenders.
In fact EVERY NFL publication picked the Panthers to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this past season.
Which team has the most tradition?
I would have to say the Bengals, their off-field issues and injuries hurt them and with the talent they have, especially at QB and WR, them not making the playoffs was disappointing.Anyone else ready for football season?
The Falcons. They had way too many dropped passes this year which did not help Michael Vick. He had very little confidence in his receivers which made him run more and made the Falcons a one-dimensional team.I want to learn about foot ball?
Pittsburg -- from superbowl to superbust in one season ..I pick the Raiders because the owner wanted to try and go back in time and try to do it by hiring a coach who was clueless about the modern play calling . Art shell then hires an offensive co-coordinator who had been out of the game for almost ten years and was also clueless. I know Al wanted to bring back some pride but it didn't work out. Look for the Raiders to rebound in the next couple of years with a young coaching staff to bring in fresh thinking.and play calling.
Want do you think of the steelers draft picks? I never heard of none of them?
Jaguars, had it in their grasp but lost 3 of the last 4. They had injuries yes, but that was earlier in the season... they beat the colts 44-17 that is sayin alot, i beleive that was their last chance to win a super bowl for about 4 years, they are loosin alot of defensive guys, and fred taylor is gettin too old, Leftwitch is growing out of favor with the Jax Fans. they were 8-5 and ended 8-8What team is going to be the Best in the NFL next year?
The Super Bowl champs. The expectations were so high for them, because the team is reletively young, and there was only one major loss in free agency. Although Bettis retired, Parker showed he could be an every down back. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They had just come off a season of making the playoffs and was suppose to have a healthy WR in Michael Clayton. They even had a ton of personel restructure their contracts to stay with Tampa (Brian Griese was the exception). Then Chris Simms ruptured his spleen and they go from playoff team to 4-12 in one season.THE STEELERS! I'm not saying it just because I'm a fan, either. It just looks outright BAD to come off sucking so much after a Super Bowl win. We were supposed to be good this year, and we were totally unpredictable...losing to the Raiders, but then beating the Bengals (who also ended up being a disappointment), etc. And then we almost squeaked by to get into the playoffs again... So disappointing! ;)

Carolina Panthers.my very own team.Went from Super Bowl contenders...to 8-8 diappointment...that's a let down.hell all of the final four teams from last year (Seattle, Carolina, Pittsburgh, Denver) all rather sucked.they can all be thrown together.The Steelers have to be the most dissapointing all season, but the Bengals were also pretty dissapointing.
I'm REALLY surprised that people aren't talking about the Broncos. They looked so good pretty much all season with their dominant D and all, and then they lose and lose and lose again before ending their season with a loss to the frickin 49ers. They definitely had the most noticable mid-season burnout, so they are maybe also most dissapointing.
Which football franchise would have the best all-time team?
I am going to go a different way then everyone else on this one and go with the Arizona Cardinals. Simply because this was supposed to be their breakout year. They bring in the Edge to sure up the running game. They got two very talented WR's. Adrian Wilson has come along nicely, Karlos Dansby was expected to step up and Antrel was supposed to have a breakout year. They draft Lienart and then Warner is still their with similar pieces to the ones he had in St.Louis around him. Looks like a recipe for a superbowl or atleast a playoff spot. denver broncos. they started out hot hot hot. they only allowed 1 touchdown in seven games then they faded faster than the buffalo bills in a super bowl. how does a team that good get beat by the 49ers with the worse defense in the league. i though denver had a chance.I think it was the buccaneers, they won their division the year before and now they're picking # 4.

The Panthers were the pre season faves to go all the way. That by itself puts them at the top of my list.The Raiders and Lions performed about as everyone expected them to and will most likely do the same this year.
It was hard to believe that the Bengals did not make it this year too. With that talent base (arrests put aside) and the ability to score like they could, it was unfortunate.

Who was the last defensive player to get MVP?
I say the Bengals. They just weren't getting the job done.Problem with the Steelers was INJURY. When you have a hurt QB playing and your top WR is playing with a hamstring injury, among other ones, you really aren't going to have the best season.
I didn't think the Dolphins were all that disappointing either. Oh wait everyone else thought that their OVERRATED QB was really that great. Culpepper is overrated and if people had realized that from the start then people wouldn't have expected half of much.
How is Calvin Johnson supposed to save the lions?
Carolina Panthers. Everyone picked them to go to the Super Bowl because of the talent they had, and rightfully so. Adding Keyshawn Johnson to that offense plus their defense had lots of people picking Carolina. I would have to say The 49ers it would be nice to see the 49ers get back on track and at least make it to the playoffs. (i am not a 49ers fan) but they just have not been good for a while and it would be nice to see them get out of there slump.Has to be the Faiders. The fans in Oakland get excited every year about their team, but the reality is they won't win until Al Davis turns over control of that team to someone who knows what they are doing. Don't be surprised if he does something completely stupid like drafting a kicker in the first round. Oh wait, he's already done that hasn't he!?!
