OK, I'm not a football fan HOWEVER, what was or who knows why a 4 yr old was in the end zone unattended ?
I don't follow football but on the news I saw that a 4 y old got tackeled by (rather innocently in the way) by a player making a play. My question moreso is ...why was that child unattended and where the H*** was the parent 'BEFORE' it happened?...Obviousily watching the game and not his kid!

I agree completely. That is what I thought to myself when I saw this. Why would this kids parents let him run around behind the endzone period, but let alone while the ball was moving in that direction. Terrible parenting.Thank god the kid is ok.

i have to agree with you here, that was a very scary incident and the kid should never, ever, ever have been anywhere near that close to the field...the parents should be ashamed of themselves for endangering their child because they were so engulfed in a SPRING FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGE for (not even a powerhouse school with rabid fans, mind you) COLORADO STATEWho is the best running back in NFL History?
From what I understand, the parents were almost right there. They have two kids and were watching the other one (according to the mother, anyway).I think the school has to take some responsibility for this. Children that small should not be allowed in the field area.

An acceptable question ... the same question was brought up a few years ago during a World Series game when Dusty Baker's son was allowed onto the field of play and had to be scooped up by one of the Giants before someone plowed into him like a freight train.It shows a massive amount of neglect on the part of the parents. While the player made the hit, he showed a huge amount of concern for the child after impact. I have no clue why or how the child ended up near the endzone during football practice, but anything that comes from this should be focused directly on the little child's parents!

Oh im totally glad that the kid is ok but what i heard was that there was a kids day festival at the college and the parents were right next to him but the kid got away from his parents, so pretty much bad timing, but he is ok.What will be the eagles record?
The reason he was on the field was it was a spring scrimmage. Which is attended as a day for the fans, with autograph sessions after the game. Basically it is a glorified practice session that the fans can actually watch. Plus it gain a little revenue for the team and the Athletic Dept. Kid is tough though. He took 30 stitches.Would you rather have your team go 16 - 0 or win the Super Bowl?
