What position do you want to play?
You're obviously too thin for the pits (offense or defensive line)
but maybe back field or secondary.
I like the suggestions of
safety or half back -
wide receiver or cornerback.
Play where you feel the most comfortable and where coach can use you.
Make sure you get plenty of game film for college purposes.
Doeshow you can stay with a foot ball team for life.?
WR or CBIs Pacman Jones Another Lawrence Phillips?
i say quarter back i love a quarter back chicks love a quarter back or maybe running back go for it!!!What does GSH stand for on Chicago Bears jerseys?
I would go with either a cornerback position or a wide receiver. I would work on getting you 40 time a little better if you would want to play on the collegiate level. You seem to light for a linebacker and that would be my next choice. But if you want to put on some extra muscle, that might be an option. No offense but ur too small for almost any other position so u shud try WR or CB.
How to become a high level varsity football player?
wr... ur at a decent height, ur fast, u can jump, u have a decent strength i just hope you can catch lol. if that doesnt work... defensive end will. you dont need to be big you just need to hitWho will hold all the records for quarterbacks?
CornerbackWhat about those COLTS, repeat?
OFFENSE:Tall enough for quarterback
Too light to play a lineman
Not thick enough for tight-end
Don't bench enough for a running-back
Tall enough for a reciving spot but on the verge of being considered slow...
DEFENSE:
Not thick or strong enough for any front 7 spot (linemen, linebackers)
Cornerback maybe, still slow though
Not thick enough for defensive-end
Free-Safety...
= FREE-SAFETY
It's pretty important to look around at your division/league and see the size of the players. If you play in a tougher league where the talent pools are larger to choose from (large highschools, or highschools with large male populations), then running back might not be a great choice as you could get mauled. A 4.6, though, is a nice speed for sure...there have been some recent running backs (most notably the guy from wisconsin a couple years back) who run that speed. And with that speed, you can easily out run any linebacker or defensive lineman.
It's also important to see what kind of offense and defense your team runs. A good majority of high school teams do mainly running, as there are not as many talented QBs in highschool. Do you have a good thrower this year? Or does your team historically run the ball? If you want a lot of repititions on offense, this is important to know. On defense, whether or not you have 8 in the box or not is important, too. You could definitely play a monster back (a not-as-bulky linebacker who can also double as a strong safety in pass defense) and, naturally, the other defensive back positions. Hell, if your league is in a low division, you could essentially play any position on defense, minus the tackle positions. Coaches love a quick end, and add some muscle before august and you could tear it up. Defensive line is one of the easiest positions to learn, too.
