Should the Pac-10 conference have a championship game in football?
Would it be interesting or worth it to split the PAC-10 into 2 conferences, say have a Pac-10 North and South, and play a championship game at the end of the regular season to determine the BCS bid? You could have Washington, Washington State, Oregon, OSU, and Cal in the North. Stanford, USC, UCLA, Arizona, and Arizona State in the south. The game could be played at the Rose Bowl, or wherever. I think it would bring in lots of revenue for the PAC 10 and its school, and there are already championship games being played in other conferences. It would also add to the excitement of the season, and it wouldnt affect the contracted bowl selections. What are your thoughts?
Answers:
The Pac-10 could not find two teams that merit an addition to the conference, which is necessary for a conference championship game to occur.
None of the Northern schools would agree to that in the first place, because they are reliant on California recruits, and would not accept the drop in exposure.
Finally, your division splits California from their main rival, Stanford, and their other rivals in USC and UCLA.
Does anyone agree that Clowney from Virginia Tech is going to be a sleeper WR in the draft?
yea USC should automatically get it they should have to play for it like the other power schoolsWho will San Diego pick at no. 29??
Yes I believe that all conferences should have them.It is unfair to the conferences that do hold these championships.
For example look at the SEC: Florida and LSU possibly will play each other twice next season (if Florida wins the east, and LSU the west) That creates a situation where two most likely end up with 1 loss, hurting their BCS situation
Who will win their division first the Oakland Raiders or the Cleveland Browns?
i think that is a great idea to really decide the winner of the championshipim sorry but no. the PAC-10 is unlike the SEC, in which the teams are better. Usc is the Pac-10-'s only consistent top 20 team. u cant have a champinship game with that kind of conference.
Who else feels that the ALT Falcons should cut or trade Ron Mexico, aka Michael Vick?
Yeah USC almost go there but lost to a team and still went to a bowl which the rose bowl and won agianst Michigan 32-11 and now they no chance unless they have good recievers because Steve Smith and Dwayne Jarret are in the NFL draft and they need a Scrambling quartback to at leat make it to a bowl.Football Player accused of murder?
It doesn't matter because there are not two good teams in the Pac 10.No really I think they should. All the other big conferences do.In hs football wat pos is rite for me? im 6'2" 1/2 175lbs.?
It would be nice, but under NCAA rules, they can't unless they become the Pac-12What receivers besides these have top assests?
I think its a waste of time for good teams. If a team wants to sneak in the BCS by pulling upsets, a playoff system could be the ticket. but a true contenter who has won its games during the regular season gains nothing by beating the same teams twice.Who will win each division and the playoffs next year?
Really Like USC and UCLA every Year, that's the Top 2 Pac 10 Teams.More Questions & Answers...
