Just talk to your coach(s) and tell them about your catching problem but keep the "making the girlfriend happy" situation out of it! Practice, practice, practice. Have a friend throw passes to you or your dad. If youre a WR but you really can't catch, switch to cornerback. It's similar, you cover a player and then if he's thrown to, you try to knock it away or catch it. And if you drop it, it's ok. you should play a pickup game with ur friends as much as u can. always b a wide out, n eventually, catching will start to come naturally. trust me, i start at wide out for my school from doing tha same thing.Why do American football players do such stupid stunts?
well im assuming you are fast since you are a reciever. but if you can't catch i would suggest moving to corner. that way you can use your speed to stay with WRs and you can swat balls down rather then catch. thats what i would do in your position ( but i was the exact opposite i was slow with great hands so i played TE.) but yeah i would switch to corner if i were you.good luck.
