You need to be thick skinned, if you react to abuse players will try to manipulate you. You need to be confident in your demeanor and communication, even if you have just made a decision you immediately regret, you need to stick by it. You need loud and clear communication skills, especially with inexperienced players, so everyone can hear what your decision was and why you made it. You need to have good stamina so you can run throughout the game and keep near the action. And finally, you need to be able to run backwards!
