Firstly i don't think Sydney are doing much wrong. They are playing by their game plan, basically have the same player list (only lost Ball and a few others) so it has to come down to a couple of things.1. The new rules that have be brought in, ie kicking out from behind straight away, etc, have encouraged a faster flowing game, and quite honestly Sydney cannot manage this. They haven't got the squad to match Eagles, Saints, Bulldogs, etc when its a free flowing game. The Swans only chance of winning is to slow it down and play the footy like they did last year. Tight, scrappy and crap to watch.
2. i think other teams have caught onto their game plan. they have played their games differently against them. Opposition aren't trying to go toe-to-toe against the Swans rather sit out and the wings, get the ball and run it. it totally ruins their backline.
These are the reasons the swans will NOT win the flag in 2006.

To the answer above..ever been attacked by a swan? Not so simpy after all and the grace you need to almost fly in the game is a very good illustration!The swans were not playing as a team. It was each man for himself which doesn't work in team sport. It's a long way before they lose 26 games in succession again!
Don't panic. It's only the 2nd round. You'll notice that the winners of the early games rarely get to the grand final. I would only start worrying if it were round 14 and they hadn't won a game.

I hate the swans...However, don't write them off just yet...They had a slow start last year and won the flag so i don't think they are too concerned about losing a couple of games early...Is it wrong to date a guy 11 years older than you?

It's been claimed that winning last year has given the Swans "big heads" but it has only been two losses so far and the season has a long way to go yet. Don't count them out for a while longer..More Questions & Answers...
