What do you think of the West Coast Eagles wearing the old WA state jumper for heritage round?
Question:I think its awesomely arrogant. There is no way the dockers could do it, they are just saying, we are WA, freo are a footnote.

I've got no particular problem with them wearing a black and gold for the heritage round. I do object to them wearing that jumper with the state of origin logo on it. They're not a SOO team, they are an AFL club, that happens to be based in the state of WA. Wearing black and gold shows their ties to WA, so no problem there, but put the SOO logo on, and they seem to be claiming to be something they are not. If they modify the jumper so that the map of WA is replaced with an Eagles logo, I'd be a lot happier.Are Collingwood moving to Western suburbs of sydney?
if that is the case then id agree with you-its very arrogant and disrespectful to the state jumper and un-fair on other W.A players who play for freo or other AFL sides around Australia.and at the end of the day they are only the bloody west coast eagles not the western Australian state side (who have a swan on the jumper anyway).
This doesn't surprise me though because we've seen how full of self importance the eagles are just by the way they manage and deal with their un ruly players over the past couple of years-i doubt there is a moral bone amongst the board.

Yeah, well what's new? We are all now completely aware that the WCE are answerable to no one. I'd personally just like to see them on the bottom of the ladder and then we could all forget about them!Do you know Nathan Elijah laster?
The reason I am such a one eyed Eagle is that they were the first WA AFL team and that is why the Dockers will always be my second team even though some of their supporters leave a lot to be desired in their envy of the Eagles.Also the first Captain of the Eagles was Ross Glendinning and we are the holders of the premiership cup so I think it is appropriate that the jumper is worn and we should be proud of our state no matter who wears the jumper.
When the Dockers have their home game the weekend of the heritage round they also can wear the jumper with pride and I will be cheering for them.

I am a Freo supporter and to tell you the truth I don't really care/mind.They are a West Australian side so that would give them the right to wear it.
