Why is it that Association Football and Rugby has travelled all over the world yet Aussie Rules hasn't?
Answers:
Qld won state of origin YAYAYA!!!?
Rugby was started in the UK and like cricket it spread to the colonies and introduced into the school systems by English dominated governments. Australian Rules Football started in Australia and since Australia did not colonise other countries it could not spread. Just like baseball and Gridiron in America or hurling in Ireland.Aussie Rules does have amateur leagues in a lot of countries but it is doubtful it will ever gain as much popularity as it has in Australia.
