Simply explain the rules of Australian Football League (AFL)?

How many minutes are there in an 5 minute warning that Channel 10 plays in the AFL?

OK this is hard and I won't get technical but basically this is how it goes- 2 teams , each have their own goals at either end of the field. Each player has an opposite player from the other team whose job it is to stop him getting the ball. There are four posts at each end. The object is to kick goals. If you kick between the centre 2 posts(in the middle) your team gets 6 points and it's called a"goal" if you kick it inside the outer posts (but not between the middle two) it is worth 1 point and is called a "behind". Each time a team scores a "goal" the play is started again by the umpire by bouncing up the ball in the centre of the ground. the teams then try to gain possession of the ball and another goal. You can tackle the opposition but not around the neck or below the knees - any infringement can mean you have to give the ball to the opposition. If you seriously infringe on a rule or are rough etc the other team can be awarded "50 metre penalty" this means they can take the ball 50 metres from where the incident occurred towards their own goal. This means they will usually have a chance to score. The players can pass the ball by hand or kick it to eachother, a kicked pass must be more than 15 metres and if your team mate catches it on the full(without letting it touch the ground) it's called a mark and the other teams members cannot touch that player- he is free to kick the ball on without interference, but he can choose to hand pass it , in which case the opposition can tackle him. That's it in a nutshell- it's great to watch- enjoy!
