...Honestly...u cannot answer this with just 3 letters...being born in Melbourne, I'd have to say AFL. If I was born North over the border it would be naive of me to say it wouldn't be NRL. I watched the NRL(GF) on in the background, looking up when Storm where being cheated...I'm mean when there was a try... (-:Just like I know if I was born in the states it would be their football I'd follow...and so on and so on...
I love my AFL and my world football(soccer) & not just world cup time...If storm make GF - i'll support them on tv. I go watch the Melbourne Victory in the A-League and I go to the Aussie Rules. I watch my NBA ocassionaly, but follow my team and I follow every single Euro soccer league. LOL...

It's what u grow up with...I grew up with AFL & would like to think if I'd been born somewhere else I would still support it first, above all others...being a realist I know this to not be true.
Long kicking,more skill,high marks,big hits,pack strength, turn of foot,trick passing & trick footwork - you cannot judge one code as better than the other.
Aerobically I know AFL is tougher slightly, yet NRL has to be tougher, due to the constant hitting.

AFL is much bigger for a reason. The reason is because rugby is only popular with meat-heads, but football is popular with a larger variety of people.State of origin tickets i need to offload for what i paid for them?
AFL of course. It is the best game (besides Cricket) played here in Australia and it has more skill than NRLPersonally prefer afl but to say its better than NRL is only a matter of opinion and well everyones got one, NRL is good but definately for actually being at the game AFL wins hands down.

Without a doubt its AFL, you need to be faster, fitter, more skillful, and have a positive IQ, attributes which are all totally useless in rugby league. Also you need toughness, as in our game we don't just rely on the biggest animal on the field to run the ball up and get tackled, it's usually the smallest guys that get piled on top of (which isn't always fun) but yeh AFL is definitely the best football code in the worldDoes any1 know AFL payer Dale Thomas?
AFL is by far the better code to watchafl all the way. nrl players have the same IQ asthe number of players on their team!
