Liverpool did it in the mid-eighties, but many of the side were 'assimilated' players, or from the home nations. Players such as Hansen (Scotland), Lawrenson (Rep. of Ireland) and Rush (Wales).The first Premiership side was Chelsea in a game at Southampton in, I think, the 1999/2000 season.
Added: It was Boxing Day 1999, in a 2-1 win at the Dell, but I'm still trying to work out the starting XI. I know Ed De Goey was in goal and the likes of Zola and Flo were playing.
Added again: Thanks for the thumbs-down, but if you would actually bother to research the question, you'd find I'm 100% correct. There was even another game in the same season, Chelsea away to Coventry City, which broke the record for the total number of foreign players on the pitch; I believe it was 20 out of 22.
