What are the specific years/seasons in the German Bundesliga when...?

Question:the league patch/league logo was that of a classic white football surrounded by what looks like orange, red, and yellow swirls amidst a black background. This unique logo was set in a square/rectangular shape. There is no lettering in this style of logo, just the football image, unlike the most recent Bundesliga logo that is a red rectangular patch with a white silhouette of a footballer kicking a ball and the word Bundeliga clearly displayed.

I suspect the german league used this during the nineties, but when exactly? And were only a select few teams using this patch on their kits?

I think the logo is more recent. Here is a link showing the image you're talking about. Go to the bottom of the page and you'll see it. Click on one of the links "1.Liga" or "2.Liga" and you'll find the 2001/2002 season standings.
