football (soccer in american speak)I don't know, soccer is fun as more of a pickup thing just because 2-hand football sucks (especially for us tight ends who could probably go a couple more yards before getting tackled). Soccer is also fun because all you need is a ball and 2 goals (or markers for posts if you're playing more casually). But on an actual field with real equipment definitely football.

To the person below.. it is very true, football (soccer) is really endurance, it is much more physically demanding. I watched the super bowl once and they kept blowing the whistle, eventually I just got mad and grabbed my football (soccer ball) and started to juggle haha.

I am better at soccer (not that that means much). But football will always be my true love. It takes heart and determination along with strength, speed, lifting, dedication and mental toughness. If you are not strong and fast you will fail. Most NFL lineman are faster than all of the people that just wrote on this forum! It is crazy. They run a 40 in uner 5! That is better than most soccer players I can think of. Nutso!
Soccer is a universal sport played across the world. You can't beat the experience of playing on a team w/ people who don't speak the same language as you, the only thing you have in common is your love for soccer.

i like soccer wayy more than football. Everyone says football is just for guys, which its not, and that soccer is for like th wimpy guys, which its not. Also, people think that soccer is pointless and that alls you do is chase people down a field and dribble a ball. Isnt that the same as football? In football you try to do the same thing as soccer but just with your hands and you tackle people; in soccer you slide tackle. Like the majority of sports fans in this big wide world we live in, I prefer football (only in North America is it known as soccer). While gridiron ( a more suitable name, by the way), has it's he-man, masochistic merits, it doesn't come close to the speed, athleticism, ball control and skill or continuous action of football. soccer . i have many reasons for this and one being that soccer is football and vice versa. honestly i feel that american football was just copied after european soccer so it would be popular here in america. but soccer also requires a lot more skill. yes football players are tough and strong and big , but it doesnt take skill to run into someone (although it hurts). but thats their job. soccer players have to learn to dodge and run and still get tackled (when they arent supposed to) . ive also had trainers tell me that soccer players take pain a lot better than football players, and that we dont complain as much about our injuries. that kind of makes me renig my statement that football players are tough and all that.im a soccer player and ive always had issues with football players telling me that soccer sucks and blah blah blah . . i challenge them to play me and they wont. it takes a lot more endurance to play soccer than it does football. we play for 45 minutes have a 10 minute break and then play another 45 minutes. football players only play for seconds at a time.
