With all the Recent Takeovers and Speculation?

Will teams like City and Villa Break into the Premiership elite, when teams like Liverpool, ManUre and Chelski already have huge transfer funds and the prestige to buy the very best players in the world. What will make the difference in breaking this dominance

What have you learned about your team this year and where do you think they need improving?

as a villa fan, i'm not to sure. money cannot buy class however our youth system has provided us with some good players this past few seasons. so hopefully this combined with the money from lerner will enhance our chances in the league and cups. plus martin o'neil is a great manager so that can only help!

randy lerner has insisted that he has a 5 year plan in place for villa, so i am no judging him yet. however the thing that i am most impressed with this season is the way the board is communicating and listening to the fans. on the message boards of villa fan sites, you may find the general, randy's right hand man, who is answering questions for villa fans and gonig back to lerner with our suggestions. i have never felt so involved with my club and this is why lerner has my 100% backing no matter what happens.

Im a goalkeeper, i have good reflexes and can make the spectacular save but my general technique sucks help!?

The obvious addition of extra funds will no doubt remove the problems of a relegation struggle. But like mr Romanov at Hearts, money does not always mean success and as these people are at the end of the day businessmen, profitabilty is the only desire.
But I would have to say, that for all the wonders of money, the club that keeps investing in a Youth System, farming (for want of a better word) these youngsters out to minor/lower league clubs for experiance and then either selling them for profit or utilising the skills learnt will end up the winners in this.

Man united vs europe?

For all their money, Chelsea will never be considered "elite"...you cant buy class.

WEST HAM wots happenig?

its a sad day when SALFORD RED SOX have to show the way ahead again, who were the biggest offenders, the anfield stealers or the blue moon wailers, martin o'neill should benefit from a cash injection, rafa and physco always had money.

well now we agree on that one,who do you want more to the point who will physco want, i thought his ethos was to get the best out of the young talent, so does this mean the end of yet another respected manager who works hard as opposed to buying leagues.

Why do people in this forum ask that..?

the answer is hell no.

perhaps money can buy you temporary success as in the case of chelski... but they don't get any respect at all because of the obscene cash they spend on players. hell, they can buy an entire league and crown themselves the undisputed champions.

now yankeepools are following suit. a promised 150mil transfer kitty however will not guarantee long term success.

man utd is different. glazer bought it at it's peak and you all know it is not cheap. hell, he might even do serious damage to the finances of utd having to break the bank and get in debt to buy a debt-free and profitable club.

man utd's success on and off the pitch is the envy of every club in the world. they are the benchmark of how to run a club and unless other clubs can emulate that, no amount of cash will help a club to break into your so-called elite.

On which website can I see the new england home jersey due for release in February?

Its, perhaps, a sad fact that money determines success.. Clubs that don't have the necessary financial backing don't stand a chance, although `lesser` clubs that do well are to be praised all the more.

There is a rabbit in my front yard eating all the tulips ! What should I do ?

I just clicked on the catagory ' English football', of course the lesser off clubs will never now be able to catch up with the ridiculessly wealthy clubs, with foreign owners, foreign managers, foreign players, is there any such thing as 'English' football. The only thing 'English' left will be the refs. I feel so sorry for our own lads.
